I don't think it's quite right to say that masturbation is "accepted" in the medical field...more like - it is considered very normal behavior. Differences in culture/social norms do affect how one perceives this topic however. While it is perfectly alright to discuss (albeit in a very mature manner) female masturbation in more liberal countries (i.e. USA, etc), many other countries/cultures find the topic highly inappropriate.
Since I do live in the US, you can hardly go a day without hearing some sort of comment, serious or not, about (female) masturbation. Its either on the TV, radio, internet, or just within discussions between friends.
I think its perfectly normal. While I dont necessarily want to hear or talk about it at the dinner table with my family, I think its good that society has taken a more progressive approach to sex/sexuality. Everyone has urges - simple as that.

it's well known as an effective way to reduce stress also to cure headache instantly because it relaxes your mind and every muscles.
No need to depend on pills.
if you have trouble sleeping, it helps too.

Yup. And now days with so many people not knowing proper sexual education because of rightwing religious fanatics it's better to do masturbation than go out and have sex with many partners and risk getting a disease or something else.

In science term, it's to be said that any masturbation is good for the body because it releases stress.

Haha, well I think I read somewhere that masturbation is actually good for your health :] but I don't know the scientific facts.
Female masturbation is recognised in most societies, it's just not talked about or as well acknowledged as male masturbations...
Maybe it's got something to do with the whole innocent female thing.
Bluergh.
Men have always been the hornier ones.
lol
