We're going to be critiquing on your second clip of this song, we won't even bother with the first: that's how bad it is.
For starters, we tell many people not to sing acapella and that goes for you as well. The reason why we tell you to sing with the artist and not instrumental or acapella is because singing with the artist keeps you under-control. You can hear the artist in the background and hence you can try to match their pitch, power and etc.
To make your natural voice sound better, forcefully make your voice a little deeper; when singing. For the time being, this will hide your nasal voice a little and in-time your natural while singing will slowly get rid of the nasal-sound behind it.
From what we can hear and feel, it seems that you aren't singing naturally. It sounds as if you are scared and frantic. You just need to close your eyes, feel the music and just sing calmly. It seems that you're trying to improve or rushing to sing. To improve you cannot rush, it takes alot of time and effort. You need to step back and just sing slowly and calmly. Sing for yourself.
The above is what you should be attempting to improve on. Nothing else.
You also need to work on your flow, control, pitch, power, resonance and etc (pretty much everything). You need to practice alot more than what you are doing. This does not mean just sing and sing for hours, it actually means sing while spotting your errors; fixing one thing after another.
Alot of people find it hard to spot their own errors and correct their own mistakes, that is why you have asked for our help directly. To improve at a much faster rate, add us on msn: floppy.pocky.16.08.07@hotmail.com. Over msn it will be much faster because it's a direct voice conversation you will be starting with us. We'll hear you practice directly and give direct help to improve.
