i know right? i feel sorry for the kid...and the woman not thomas but thomas wife's kids are all fine and dandy about it. kudos to them..but if i was apart of that family i go nuts lol

I don't really see the big deal about it.
He claims he's a man, but he has them woman parts! He doesn't even have a man part.

So it's only normal that he would have a child. Because his reproductive parts are female!

^It does make sense that he can get pregnant because he still has female organs. But I think people are more shocked at his exterior appearance plus pregnancy than him originally (and presently) having female organs. It's like an initial shock. You don't hear a man being pregnant in every day life.

I watched this on Red Lasso yesterday. I thought it was an absolutely amazing story. Thomas and his wife are such good people who are truly in love. I got an especially positive vibe from Thomas, who's so comfortable with who he is, and who's been so optimistic about the criticism he gets from his family and from strangers... and even from the LGBT community. It REALLY pissed me off when Thomas was talking about his brother's reaction to the miscarriage/failed pregnancy, where he said something like "Good thing this happened, or else there would have been a monster." And what I don't understand is why so many LGBT organizations refused to help Thomas. Of all organizations out there, shouldn't the LGBT orgs. be the most supportive?? It got me so frustrated. And also, for eight doctors to refuse to help Thomas was ridiculous too. Doctors are supposed to view all patients equally right? Isn't their whole purpose to help patients? "My staff is uncomfortable" is NOT an excuse.

Anyway, to end on a positive note, this one thing he said at the end really stood out to me: "Different is normal, and love makes a family."

her/his wife cannot conceive so she/he decided to do it since they want to have a family
but he/she reportedly had artificial insemination.
She/He tried several times for about a year to have access to a cryogenic sperm bank to purchase anonymous donor vials.
He/She went to 9 doctors already
however, she/he never had menstruation for 8 years.

Surprisingly, when I watched the show -I was more amused at his voice.
I know this is probably somewhat immature.
He looks like a man. Right off the back, he looks like a man.
But the moment he opened his mouth, I was like 'Whao!'.
That's pretty amazing, how he's able to become pregnant.
Congratulations! I do hope nobody gives him or the family a hard time...
