2008 350z (let's just say it's a touring model) or 2008 s2000?

anyways future or not s2k over z always because so far the trend from nissan for their z line is add more weight and just more power to make up for it.

The s2000 has a very short and smooth shift. AND it has a bigger trunk space!

It's also easier to oversteer, while a Z is much more stable. Not all of us have gobs of track experience, and the rear can whip out when you least expect it, even if it doesn't have as much torque. The Z is also quicker in a straight line.
If the S2000 was made into a coupe (not just hard top), would it still be as fun to drive?
The S2000 does have that certain feel though, that everything is situated right where it needs to be. However, the steering column isn't adjustable, and I know of a few people that this is a problem for.
For me though, I've always been a fan of slightly bigger cars, and the Z feels just right in terms of size for me. I've always had a athing for the Z's jellybean shape too
From what I've noticed, the Z also has more of the head-turning effect that was talked about. Not to mention the ability to fit much wider, more noticeable, wheels/tires than an s2000.
It all depends on what you're looking for in a car. Quick in a straight line, comfort, space, looks, and still can handle with ease? 350z.
Slower in a straight (although it "feels" faster than the Z), great handling, more raw experience, but sacrificing in comfort and space? S2000.

Comfort/space/looks are my #1s, those are a must.
If an everyday driver is "fast" but uncomfortable, that kinda makes me feel poopy.
That wouldn't be the car for me.
Zzzzzzzzzzz for me.

But...... for me, I'll take the more exotic S2000. The experience of owning convertible...... I will never go back. I will always have a convertible.

so that makes it more fun
it would be more fun. it would weigh less than it does now and have an even stiffer chassis.
the s2000 can go wide enough....its possible to fit 255/40/17 on an s2000 if you roll the fenders and get the right wheels. you wouldnt want to go any wider than that anyways on an s2000 (unless you have gobs of power), you are just adding unsprung rotating mass not to mention the extra drag caused by the increased contact patch.
what it comes down to is 350z is a sports car for posers, the s2000 is a sports car for drivers. therefore s2000 > 350z
im not saying that the 350z is a bad car. i like it, i think its fun to drive. the s2000 just does everything better

so i'd for sure take the s2000 over the z. haven't driven a z33 yet but i got a ride in one..although i have had the chance to drive an ap1 s2000...that car is... WOW. it totally screams 'japanese sports car' in every way. an absolute thrill to drive. it's the type of car that brings a smile to my face when i'm driving it; which is a lot, because not many cars have been able to do that for me.
