Ok, so confusing story. My last "REAL" birth control pill was supposed to be taken on Wednesday, and my placebos/period was supposed to start thursday.
WHen i went to go take my placebo pill for thurs, i found i forgot to take my wed.'s "real" pill. so i took it. One day late.
It's thursday now where i would be on my second placebo pill, but my period hasn't come yet... but it might be late, because this is my first month being on it in two years.
so.... my question is even tho my period is either missed/ or late (not sure which one yet), is it ok to have unprotected sex and let my bf ejacula** in me??
it sounds inappropriate, but i need some answers =) i don't want a baby yet =/

thanks so much

if youre on birth control, sex without a condom is NOT unprotected sex.

also if you've been taking your pills regularly, you are still protected during your placebo week (typically 21 days of pills protects you for a week afterwards, but don't quote me on that). however, since you missed your last pill and we don't know what specific brand you're on, I would recommend that you use a condom for your placebo week to be safe.

euh... i think you can still have unprotected sex...
cuz you took all the other pills...
the ones that doesnt let you "ovulate"(?)
since you were on your before last pill to get period,
the ovulation part is like 10+ days ago...
it should be fine ^^
but if you worry too much, then just ask ur bf to wear it.

I've never taken the placebo pills, I just throw them away 'cuz they're just 'blank' pills.

You only missed ONE pill, right? Nahhh don't worry about it.
plus, just like the person above said, you already passed your ovulation phase.

Well I'm not too familiair with birth control pills b/c I've never used them before but I would say, if in doubt use a condom.
You never know if that one time can lead you to getting pregnant.

i think the topic starter said she missed her last real pill? and took her last real pill the day she was supposed to start her placebos. i think you should be safe. they say that after the first week of pills you're already protected and no longer need to use back up (if you're on your first month of pills)

I remember the pamphlet talks about the active ones, blue and white ones

it's okay to miss 1 active pill, just take it once you remember.
if miss 2 or more, there's a chance to get pregnant.

The worst time to miss a pill is the end of the pack and start of the pack. Read your pamphlet and see what it says about missing a pill. Did you take that pill within 12 hours of the time you should've taken it? If so, it's not considered missing a pill.

If you really feel paranoid about it, use a condom. Your period should come eventually within the 7 days, it won't really mean like Thursday. For me, I'd take my first placebo pill on a Thursday but my period wouldn't come until Sunday. But on the third month, it switched to Monday. If you're stressing yourself over this, it can affect it too, so just calm down smile.gif

uh... did you not read her post at all? she's using birth control.
anyway, treat it like a missed pill. it's okay, just take the pill as soon as you remember (which i will assume you did), and just for safety if you'd like, use condoms for 7 days or until your period comes. =)

sometimes one of the side-effects (benefits?) of bc is that you get very light periods (similar to spotting). But that depends entirely on what brand you have. Check your pamphlet to see if it says anything about it.
