So I got my eye-checkup today - and honestly my optometrist was so young and unprofessional, don't you hate doctors like that? Grr!!
Anyway, after the checkup, she was like "It's really scary how many blood vessels have formed in your eyes considering your young age. You need to stop wearing your contacts to sleep, otherwise you won't be able to wear contacts later on"
And I was so scared that I was trying to ask her more questions like "So if I remember to take them off for a few hours everyday, will I be okay, I won't go blind or anything?" I even asked her if I should take them off even more than just when I sleep if it's that bad. But she wouldn't answer me, she just shrugged and kept saying really casually "I dunno, it's better than nothing.. Those vessels don't go away. Your eyes are okay, just remember to take off your contacts at night."
But why wouldn't she answer any of my quesions!!
Anyway, I really don't wanna have to wear glasses for the rest of my life. So should I be taking off my contacts for more than my sleep, or is that enough (coz I don't have glasses). Are there any other precautions I should take? I'm so angry that my optometrist treated everything so casually after saying "That's scary.."
WTH, is she just trying to scare me? It seems if it was really serious, she would have sat me down and told me more about what I should do.
If I'm really careful from now on, will I be okay?
