I have really..oily hair.
Like, I wash it every single day, but even if I just touch my bangs, they get all clumpy and greasy.
It's really gross.
My hairdresser guy says I need to use a different type of shampoo ...
HELP ?! PLEEASE?!

Your not supposed to wash your hair everyday. It strips the hair of all the natural oils and stuff, so your hair will compensate by making more. You should try to get in the habit of washing your hair every other day. At first, it'll seem like your hair is really oil, but that should stop in a few weeks. Also, when you use conditioner, if you use any at all, you should not let it touch your scalp. As for touching your hair, try not to as you will be putting the grease from your hands and stuff onto your hair. Hope that helped.^^

oo well i used to wash it every other day, but that would mean it was greasy one day, and then fairly dry the other...etc.
and i don't use conditioner,
and i flip my hair now, as odd as that sounds.

like 1xviet said, wash your hair every other day. On the days your hair's oily, use baby powder, or hair spray. I use both. I recommend Nexus' Ultimate Moisturizing leave in spray. It's expensive, but I love this thing. You can use any hair spray that has alcohol in it though. Alcohol dissolves the oil, just a few spritz should do it.
You can also use baking soda. I just prefer using baby powder. Once a week, you can try a vinegar rinse. What kind of shampoo do you use btw?

Actually, I have to disagree with some people. I get the same problem. If I don't wash my hair everyday, my hair gets awfully greasy. But I started washing it everyday and my hair actually got healthier. I even used to get split ends when I didn't wash it everyday, but now I don't get them too often. My hair's not dry either, I think it's because my conditioner helps.

Maybe it's your skin. I have really oily skin and that's why my hair gets the same way. Maybe keep your hair out the way?

Or it could be the products you're using. They might not work for you.

I actually don't know how to help your oily hair. I just wanted to say that it might not be bad that you're washing it everyday. Different people have different needs.

I have oily hair too and I have to wash it 5 days a week.
But on the weekends, give your hair a break and don't wash it on a Sat. or Sun.
You can also use dry shampoo. It's in a can when you don't have time to wash it, it works.
And you can also rub a bit of toner (no alcohol in it) on a cotton ball and run it top of your head, where the greasiness is.
Alcohol dries things, so, your head will produce even MORE oil.

And for your bangs, could it be your skin? If you have oily skin, use oil blotters throughout the day so that the oil doesn't get on your bangs.

examine your diet?

although i don't think that's a huge part of it. perhaps look at your family genetics too, some people just have naturally oiley hair. then your hairdresser would be right and you need new shampoo.
Signatures makes me feel silly.

Not everyones' the same (x
You're probably not born with greasy oily hair, lucky you.
Hairstyles turn out better for people like that, most of the time.

I like to use dry shampoo when my hair feels greasy. It's like hair spray, you just spray it on, let it sit for 2 min then brush your hair or towel it out.

i use this OJON DRY CLEANSER

Don't use conditioner and use a shampoo that suits your hair type, I guess.

don't worry im like that too. i wash my hair every other day and the day im suppose to wash it again its very greasy. what i do is pull my hair up on that day. so like on the day that my hair isnt greasy i do wat ever i want. on the day it is then i tie it up so people don't notice. and if ur lucky and have people who use gel at ur school u won't stick out.

use SELSUN BLUE! (available at most stores)
It works really well!
my hair got really oily one day so I tried shampooing every other day
then, it didn't work so I bought Selsun Blue (i know it's usually for dandruff hair but i just gave it a try)
the next day, my hair stopped being so oily!
Seriously, it was all gone and my hair became really healthy after a while
now, I still use it every other day and I love it
If i seem to have a little bit of oily hair, I just wash my hair with that, and it's all gone

Also, DON'T use conditioner!
conditioner isn't good for your hair, especially if you have really oily hair

you need a clarifying shampoo. i had damaged, overprocessed hair, so i used shampoo for that, but it gets greasy fast. now i use Neutrogena anti-residue shampoo like twice a week, followed with a conditioner and the other days, i use my normal shampoo and conditioner. it cleans out 70% of residue left by hair products and shampoos and conditioners. i'm left with hair that feels light and clean! smile.gif

yeah. Washing your hair everyday will cause your hair to be even more oily,
because its trying to replace the oil that you have washed out. lol
When I dyed my hair, it got less oily(obviously).
There are some shampoos that tacle oily hair. I think there is one from Head & Shoulders

Like to style your hair?
Use hairspray with alchol in it.

Just spray the roots.
Don't touch your hair though. It'll make the spray flake.
