i have large video files that i want to convert to mp4 from an asf file.
does anyone know how to do that? i can't seem to find any free programs that
does that online.

www.media-convert.net does it "online" literally. set input to ASF and output to MP4 then you're good to go. keep in mind that it involves uploading your file there and downloading the result...so if your have a really big ASF file, then it will take awhile. its pretty easy to use though.
