What do you think about murders related to video games. Personally I think videos isn't fully responsible since most sane people are fine with it. I think its just crazy people with short tempers getting fuzz up after losing a few round. If they don't have the minds for it they should just stay away. Yeah GTA4 will be out and I hope not too many people will die from it. Parents should keep an eye on their kids. NO GTA4 for retards.

Some people are too idiotic to think that scenes in GTA shouldn't be emulated in real life. ph34r.gif

Criticism does not equal bashing.

There's so much I could say on this.
I have to get to classes, though.

i already said this before but video games and the media arent really the ones to blame. it is the childs family to blame. study show that if a child goes through or see there parents getting abused or being violent the child is going to mimic that behavior in the future.

Parents use video games as a scapegoat to cover up for their crappy parenting skills. Honestly, theres something wrong if they're letting their underage kids play violent video games.

Violent behavior is a result of both environment and genetic disposition.

There is a correlation between watching violent tv/games and more aggressive tendencies across the board. That is not disputed in research.

I think it's ultimately up the parents for the kids. Adults watch violent movies and play violent games. They may be more aggressive afterwards, but they are aware of the consequences of their actions, so they don't act up on them. Kids, on the other hand, are not as mature.

Dude, if you thought the GTA series can cause people to go crazy and kill each other, then you've only scratched the surface of game-related deaths.

Have you ever heard of the game Manhunt? It's sooo controversial that it was banned from several countries.
And the countries that DID sell it, sold two versions, a censored one, and an uncensored one.

I played it about 6 months ago and beat it. I thought it was the sickest/twisted game I've ever played ph34r.gif

I Don't consider GTA that bad, especially after I play Hitman, being able to kill people by "accidents" in a lot of real scenarios. It's hell of a lot worst yet people always blame on GTA first, I think it's been targeted enough

i dont think that videogames are to blame. I blame it on the parents first and foremost. Tv and videogames are not parent replacements. You can't sit a kid in front of a tv and leave the house and expect the kid to be fine. I think that as long as the kid has a strong sense of whats right and wrong that the parents instill in them, itd be alright.

Seriously now, if you had a small child, would you let them play Unreal Tournament, Silent hill, GTA4, Resident evil? No, i wouldn't. Its up to the parents to decide on whats ok for their child to play. I'm not saying all id let my kids play are some crappy disney games or "magical woodchucks big forest adventure" I would research the game first and find out whats it all about and if my kid is mature and intelligent enough to handle it.

i think the rating system is good, but it needs to be more uniform. Have a set guideline like the movies we watch.

Peace!

So true.

Honestly, if ANYONE is going to kill someone, the potential had to have been there in the first place. Video games don't TURN people into killers. If some kid kills someone after playing a video game, then he was messed up in the first place.
