Anyone going to Cal here? Whats been your experience? Trying to decide bet Cal and UCSD.

I love Cal! I wanted to go to college in the East but I got rejected from most of them, so my choices for college were down to Cal and UCLA. I wanted to go to UCLA but my parents somehow manipulated me into going to Cal, and I couldn't thank them more for it. I was totally adverse to going to Cal, I didn't go to CalSO or Cal Day or anything. I just didn't want anything to do with Cal until I got there. But now I'm loving it. There are lots of restaurants in Downtown Berkeley, and the BART can take you to Emeryville and San Francisco if you want to do any shopping. The professors are really helpful and there are lots of colorful characters on Sproul Plaza. My roommate (she's from southern California) told me that UCSD was sort of isolated; I've never been there so I wouldn't know. She said you would need a car to go visit a lot of the cool places in SD.

i like cal. its a good school people are chill. MOST professors are great (some are asses). good food.
