I can't find any information on this school from alumni or current students. Has anyone even heard of this school? I am probably going here to do Pharmacy, but I hear it's mostly focused on academics. The after-school activities, clubs, sports, social scene seem to be nonexistent.

This place used to be called PCPS (Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Sciences). They must have expanded and changed to a university status. They have a good reputation for their pharmacy program. They tend to attract students mainly from the tri-state area (PA, NJ, DE). They seem to have a rigorous acacdemic program and most people finishing the program do well afterwards. As with most pharmacy programs around the country, there is a large Asian student body. It is located near other larger universities like U Penn and Drexel, however they don't seem to interact much with students outside the college.

The school definitely does have some extracurriculars, but it's not as intertwined with the school campus as other college campuses. The campus is pretty much in the corner of downtown Philadelphia, so you'd be isolated from the Drexel and UPenn as well as University City, which sucks. You just have to search hard.

I know USP...it's like the oldest school of pharmacy right? They have pretty good program for pharmacy...and I heard that you don't have to take PCAT in order to get into your professional years. U just have to maintain like 3.0 of GPA then you'll automatically be accepted into their pharmacy school. I actually applied it there too but I changed my mind and go to Temple because it's more fun and has more majors to choose from

USP has an excellent pharmacy program however its kind of in a dodgy area
a lot of crime around campus
extra curriculars are decent, most are linked w/ Penn state and drexel so youre sure to make a lot of new friends
