I have a Sony VAIO for Windows Vista, which comes with a webcam. However, I bought a headset/microphone combo, specifically Plantronics .Audio 345.
I am able to videochat using my built in webcam. However, I can neither record music, nor record videos with sound using either microphone. Help!
Thanks in advance!

What if you use a program like... audacity or the windows sound recorder (is that even included anymore)
If you can scream and get it to record something then we know its at least almost working.
You might have ot go to the Start > Control Panel > and look for sound to see if you can tweak the volume control for the microphone input... but my experience with vista sound is its really limited and usually people cant hear me unless I yell.

Yeah, I tried Audacity, and it doesn't pick up ANYTHING. It's not even almost working.
I tried the mic volume control thing too and... the result? NG. Thanks though.
