And she started going out with my friend, who's Korean, and she calls him oppa. Double -___-
And not in a normal, "oppa" way like how I call my friends oppa, but in an "oppaaaaa-a-a-aaaa~~~~" jagiya way.

My Dad and brothers would get pissed if I did.
My Dad says: "Don't respect anyone until they deserve the respect."
I mean I'm nice and everything but it doesn't matter how old they are, I never bow or call them unni/oppa.
At the same time, I never expect someone younger than me to call me unni/noona.
Esp. Oppa, man I don't like giving them the satisfaction.
And plus my brothers already made it clear to the fob guys at my school that wanted me to call them oppa.
He said: "The day you call me Hyung, she'll call you oppa."
Of course they're not going to call him hyung, since my brother is wayyy younger than them and stronger! haha.

Only if they're like, oppas/unnis that I grew up knowing, or they're in college.
High-school, not so much.
I think it's weird.
But sometimes I get miffed if little kids call me by my name. lol
but w/e
But I don't bow. Unless they're old. Or I don't know them well.

I only say it to people I'm acquainted to, but not very close to.
Although, my uncle's stingy when it comes to bowing / greeting him.
=__=
UGH. He drives me crazy. Everytime I bow/greet him, he points out something wrong.

If it's actual unni's or oppa's that are a couple of years older than me, then I call them by their respective titles
It's funny though, because I don't call my cousins unni/oppa.. we talk in english anyway~
But when I'm in Korea, I do the 90 degree bow and call everyone by their respective titles

i thought it was ruder to use shi instead of unni/oppa, etc...
i once used it to this one older korean fob and he was mad i didn't address him as oppa
and we weren't even close or anything

I only call my cousins "oppa" from time to time...
There's no FOB in Paris anyway -o-''
For people that are younger I...smile and wave,,,sometimes.
I'm pretty formal and talk properly most of the time.

Just like how weird it is if a korean was trying to use chinese words to a chinese person O___O
But if you're korean then yeah ... unni, oppa,etc...applies and is important.
