so, i bought myself some z5500 speakers, then promptly went to set them up..
clip the wires on to the speakers and the sub, connect all the other cables, hook up the 3 jacks, to the control centre thing, then hook the other 3 jacks to my computer
im using a dell xp420, vista ultimate ... on the back of my pc there are 5 holes, two green, 1 black, 1 orange 1 blue
so im assuming the color coding is universal so... theres a green, orange, and a black from the z5500 speakers, i plug them in the respective holes (well theres 2 green holes, so i left one)
and now the sound is messed up....
i tried configuring them using the 'speaker setup' menu, and all i get is that some of the speakers work, and some dont, or like.... one speaker is emitting sound very softly, or its emitting sounds for '2 speakers' (like on the screen it tests your 'center' speaker , and it emits sound on the left speaker, tests 'left speaker' and it emits sound from the same left speaker, but all softly).
solution ? or wat did i do wrong
cheers

color isn't universal.....
also check the back of ur sub where everything is connected
make sure each speaker is connected correctly
for my computer the center and sub were switched compared to what the logitech speakers were
when i test sound it asks me what setup it is (like 5.1 surround) and also tells me what color on the computer is for what speaker (satellite, center, sub)
so make sure the colors and that match
