Initially, my major was Film Studies/Production, but my family says I won't get a job in that field. Instead they wanted me to do something science related. So I agreed. Guess what I'm doing now?

Major: Geology
Minor: Astronomy

And in terms of getting a job after college, I'm probably worse off than I was before. dry.gif Go me.

As a geology major are you focusing environmental or engineering geology? If you are worried about finding work in your related field talk to one of your professors and see if he/she knows about possible internships. It's best to start looking once you reach junior or senior status. Additionally you could also look to the American Geological Institute (AGI) is you are in the states.

Hey all!
I came in wanting to major in Secondary Education focusing on English.
But now, I don't know what I want to do.
I'm stuck between--Teaching, English, International Studies, and Journalism. tears.gif

I'm aiming to major in economics and minor in English. I initially wanted to do it the other way around but my parents freaked and pulled a "you're gonna end up poor!" card on me >_> but we'll see how it turns out.

^ Haw, My parents did the same thing and now I'm confused

English =) I love literature.

Erm, I get really offended by certain remarks like the ones below.

1. "Your major is English? But you are Asian!"

2. "English?.."
"Yes. I love literature"
"Isn't it hard (or easy)?"
"I like to study it though (or anyone can write an essay, but writing a good one isn't easy)"
"But isn't it really boring?"
"If you like someone, you won't find it boring"

^^ Hahaha, I get the same thing all the time. >_>

call me naive but i really want to try to make a difference in the world. my dream job would be a diplomat for my country (canada), a UN ambassador, or work for an NGO or IGO.

Hey! This is exactly what I was hoping to do! I didn't know you could minor in TESL? You're SO LUCKY! Our school doesn't do that, we have to double major >_>. Is it REALLY competitive in Korea? --Damn, I really wanted to teach there after I graduated >_>
