Getting Your First Car! ^^

I'm trying to get a new car in a few weeks (finally graduating soon!! yay!) and wanted to see if you guys have any recommendations. I'm thinking the new civic ex. I'm not really a fan of toyotas so this seems to be the most reliable, best choice. Let me know what you think~~pleaseee
my budget is around 20K, preferably lower...which is reasonable for someone right out of college.
Also, I'm not sure if I should lease or buy? I'm getting half and half on these responses. Leasing will most likely lower my monthly payment and if i'm gona get a new car in a few years, leasing might be better? or better off purchasing cuz i can sell it back? but i will still be losing some money.
ANYONE who knows alot about cars or have previous experience in purchasing/leasing cars, PLEASE PLEASE respond!!!!
^_____^ Thanks!!!!!!
By the way, my credit score is pretty fair.
Oh and please recommend colors too!! I'm thinking either atomic blue metallic, or galaxy gray metallic, cuz silver is too common.

if your looking for just a daily driver, i'd go with the civic.
as for leasing or buying, it depends on what you like to do. If you like to drive a new car every few years, leasing is the best way, but you also have to remeber that you get a limited amount of miles every year or something.

You can't go wrong with the civic either. I suggest buying used, something with under 50k miles, you should be able to get one with options for under 20k (both cars, the Mazda 3 and Honda Civic).
I am against leasing, you are basically paying to use that car, you might as well rent. Congrats on graduating.

Hmm... used RSX TYPE S which has most likely been beaten on by some teenager (you think a dealership is going to tell you that the previous owner was a kid?) or a brand new Civic...easy to drive, easy on the eyes, easy on the wallet at the pump.
Comfortable daily driver too.
I know which one I'd pick

im going to work the first monday after graduation..but i am so ready to staring working! lol
neways, is the civic coupe uncomfortable? i need to try to save as much money as possible and coupe is cheaper than sedan. and i dont want anything used...i m thinking of leasing cuz monthly payment is lower, and i think you can extend the mileage righ? dont know how much extra that will cost though.
if i buy it, im gona end up selling it anyway so im not sure if it's gona be worth payment full price.

depends on how long you are going to keep it
3 years or less just lease it
but if u are like other people who want to keep it for a good 5+ years (use it through college and what not) could just buy it
reliable cars tend to hold value longer (someone tell me if im wrong)
so really depends on what you want to do
also if u buy the car there are no mileage restrictions
and yes if u lease u can get extended mileage....most are 12k/year standard
also coupes look a lot better but can be a pain when u carry people in the back since u gotta fold up the front seat
good thing about that is less people would want u to drive

yea i like the mazda 3 idea. they look great in white/no spoiler. i wouldnt get ANOTHER civic.. i mean theres nothing wrong with the car but theres just so many of em.. and so many of them riced out by the wrong owners.
Cause I'm gonna burn one down.

i haven't heard any major issues with the mazda 3
but the 3 will be more performance oriented than the civic
without looking anything up ill say that the civic probably gets better gas mileage than the 3
also even if ur not buying it reliablilty matters....you dont want to waste ur time taking it to the dealership for warranty repairs
