Whenever i try watching a streaming video like youtube
my computer lags and freezes
it also happens when i try downloading something
It won't un-freeze until the download is complete
how do i fix this problem???

I'd try a browser that can handle javascript and flash better.

Try Opera, or Firefox 2 if you aren't using them already.

The upcoming Firefox 3 is going to be a great browser when it's out of beta.

To completely put the lag in your past, upgrade your memory to 2GB.
