Are programs for different colleges good?
I got rejected from this program I wanted to get into,
so I'm not sure what to do.

what i did in my summer of junior year was volunteer at a hospital.
i liked it because it helped me choose the medical field for sure.
at first i was "iffy" about that career choice, but getting hands-on experience opened my eyes to the field

yeah volunteer!! it'll help you on scholarship essays and take school tours.
Maybe spend time writing your college entrance essay so it's easier for you when
school starts agian and you're too busy to fully focus on college applications.
reseach all scholarships for the school you want to go to & apply for some.
work if you want to try to save some up for college.
^^ BUT have fun too!!!!

I'd say go to a community college and take some extra courses to get ahead

Intern, take a college course at nearest community college or university, or get a job. Fill out a billion scholarships!
I took two college courses at a near community college after sophmore year and it was pretty beneficial. I took two sociology classes and they were really easy and plus when you add it to your high school transcript, it can boost your gpa. I got both A's so I got two 5.0's for my gpa. It helped a lot. And it looks good.

Oh yeah, all of the seniors told me this during my junior year, but I didn't listen. START ON YOUR PERSONAL STATEMENTS THE SUMMER BEFORE SENIOR YEAR!!!
When you're actually doing the application, you'll be so overwhelmed with that and regular schoolwork, and it's really hard to find time to do your essays if you haven't started them yet. D:
