pros:
1). take more courses
2). get more credits than the standard 6 pd classes.
3). take failed classes same year
cons
1).friggen long.
2). if u take one class the beginning of a school year, then take the same class (like span II or sumtin) 2nd semester next year, u pretty much forget everything
3). most AP classes are a year long so 4 ap courses, ur schedules full for a yaer
blah. i hate block schedule

pro:
1. you seem to get more done
2. only take 4 midterm/final for each class if you're not exempt
3. double block [first and second semester] for classes like ap calc ab then ap calc bc so you dont forget the material
4. you has less to worry about. only 4 classes. in a/b day or 7 period a day classes, you have 7 or 8 classes to worry about every day.
5. the stuff you named.
con:
1. same as your number 2
that's about all i can think of. i like block scheduling. our district was about to go to the 7 period a day or a/b day scheduling and the students were going nuts. fortunately they didnt do that :]

3 classes/day
2 hours long each
I'd keep it this way, less homework everyday :)

1hr10 mins on D.E.A.R days
pros = get more things done
con = i hate it since it's too long
pros = only 4 classes
con = the teachers are so annoying
pros = all my classes this semi is easy
con = you switch over for next semi and by next year, you forget a lot.

50 mins each class
possible 9 classes a day if you take zero period (before school) and 8th period (after school) classes.. but those classes are like drivers, career, and health ed. some seniors only have to take 6 classes if they've met all the requirements

We have 8 periods a day, each 50 minutes long. Gym is required in the state of illinois for everyone from k-12, every day. Lunch is also required, but many kids drop lunch for a class even though it's against the rules.

please do not PM me asking me to close threads, etc! i am no longer a mod! ^^ thanks!

{3 Classes Each Day} {About 2 hours in each}
I like block schedule than regular schedule (All periods) because:
- You don't have to carry all the books around and take them back home everyday
- It's also easier to concentrate in each classes and learn more.
- Also, time seems to pass by faster.

I never understood schools that do block scheduling, or A/B days for that matter.
