So I went through 7 seperate pages off of wikipedia trying to find a site that had a "CLEAR" explaination of how to try and solve this thing.

I'm really going nuts here. Anyone know of a site with a better explaination? Everyone's talking about this "Cross" method on how to start, but I'm having a lot of trouble just getting my cube to that point. I can get the stupid plus sign at the top, but the sides I can't get to match up correctly. It's supposed to be like.. the middle pieces of the sides pointing to the cross, but I'm like wtf.. how am I supposed to get it there.

use youtube. thats how i learnt how to solve it just look up how to solve a rubik's cube on youtube.

I love the rubik's cube O_O I went from like 5 mintues to under 2 minutes in a month, yea, obsession ^^;;

I had a cube for years and basically forgot about.

Last year, I was determined to learn how to get it so I googled guides that went step by step and solved it for the first time.
Then I found the little booklet that came with the cube and memorized the algorithms for the cross technique. Took me almost two months of on and off practice, now I don't even have to think about the moves anymore... my hands just do it

Few nights ago I actually took the cube apart and cleaned and lubricated it for the first time I used petroleum jelly even though some people say it's bad for the cube (oh well, I'm cheap, silicon spray is expensive)
I really want to try the 4x4 now.

mmm i want to remember the algorithms one day as well. i was able to remember all of them up to where u have completed 2 rows.

oh my friend does the rubik's cube in 30 seconds. he got extra credit for teaching the taecher a bit. xP

I can't do anything with a cube, and I don't have the patience to agonize through instructions ^__^;; but my friend started a Cubing Club at school a few years ago, it's still going strong @__@

i do some kind of f2l method. but i think my hands are much slower than my mind... i mean i'm not saying i have a fast mind or anything, but i just don't know any finger tricks to speed up my times. i was thinking maybe i have a stiff cube that could benefit from cube lube, but then i thought, "well, do i really want to be the person who's buying lubricant for her rubik's cube?"

but anyway, i have a self-assembled cube and i love it:

when you buy one, there should be a manual on how to solve it

Finally solved!!
Ugh i feel like such a cheater though...using guides.
I wish I was naturally brilliant to have solved it on my own...we can all dream right? lol =P

I have a hard time with rubik's cube, so I just toss it when I get frustrated, haha
But at science league, there was this one kid who did it blindfolded o_o

my best time for solving the cube is probably 4-5 minutes.

it's pretty easy if you learn through youtube =P

oo the rubriks cube! it was soo poopular during november ish? and it took me 2 hours to learn how to slow it and memorize all the steps -.-!
