MCDONALDS?!

O___________O...... I thought you we're suppose to eat stuff like pasta ....so it wouldn't affect your skills and all...

I usually don't eat too much....just :

Breakfast: eggs in some form
Lunch: Egg sandwhich
SnacK: boiled egg.
3:30 is tournament....if I'm hungry, juice and water is the way to go.

I basically eat eggs...apparently they give you more energy...I haven't actually confirmed that but....yeah.

drinks lots of waters, fruits are good. what you should eat is something with peanut butter, since it gives you good proteins and you should start of your day with proteins. (that's what my health teacher said) hmm and you can eat a banana. they are said to have something in them that relaxes you or something.

You need carbs, carbs, carbs, and did I mention carbs? Breads, pastas, cereals, grains, etc., you don't need to worry about getting "fat" because you'll basically expend all the energy (calories and carbs) with the intensive exercise smile.gif. You can eat fruits and vegetables, but errr...That won't give you the energy you need because you'll just use it up too quickly (good for daily life, just not for physically straining tasks). Not sure about meat because it sits in your stomach/digestive system for a while, it might make you feel "heavy" while performing, but yep, eggs are good as well.

a couple of times during the last World Cup, I watched some interviews with the Reds--they were so busy they had to cram the talks in while the guys were eating. Both times that's what they were having-- pasta. Spaghetti and meatballs (plus green salad and fruits) once--forget what the other was, but they all had healthy portions of it. They said it was one of the main things they ate before a game.

consuming too many simple carbs can make you drowsy
make sure to take in complex carbs, as this will not have such a drastic effect on your blood sugar

you should eat complex carbs, the night before and some before the tournament actually starts...and some simple carbs, but stay away from alot of it/sugars because it'll slow you down. but make sure no matter what you get some pasta in you because it takes a longer time to breakdown complex carbohydrates...so longer lasting...so you'll have energy throughout the day..[my head feels fuzzy...too much biology @_@]

MCDONALDS?
I know fats store lots of energy, but they aren't used up.So don't go for McDonalds.
Now CARBS is the way to go. Drink water and have carbs. Fruits are good too.

i heard pasta is really good for you to eat before a tournament

and for a snack during your tournament, I suggest bananas because they go through your system quicker than other foods considering it's really watery, plus it's healthy and stuff 8D. I always thought bananas to be pretty filling too =D

Eat something like fruit or granola bars for energy.
I heard eating bread was good too.
And waterwaterwater is a plus also.

MCDONALDS?!?
WHY WOULD YOU EAT MCDONALDS OR ANY TYPE OF JUNK FOODS?
okay, okay, I'm being too dramatic here.
but seriously, stay away from fattening foods that may slow you down.
the whole
the whole CARB CARB CARB!!! thing is a bit overrated.
eat normally, but eat lots of healthy foods such as
fruits, vegetables, and nuts that give off lots of protein and such.
oh yeah, and you should eat these foods few days in advance
because it really doesn't do anything if you cram a whole lot of
pasta in your mouth 1 day before your meet/tournament.
give the food time to digest and store into your body.
good luck :) and tell yourself repeatedly that you can
do this/win it/etc. being prepared mentally is far more important
than being prepared physically.

a good big hearty breakfast.

u know the egggs, toast, OJ, hashbrowns

not only does it give you energy and keep you full but it also helps curb ur cravings for food for the rest of the day smile.gif
