i'm such a horrible public speaker and whenever i present projects in front of class, i shake and turn red..
i hate this, i KNOW for a fact that i have low self esteem and not much confidence in myself...
and A PERSON LIKE ME WITH NO SELF CONFIDENCE HAS TO SPEAK IN FRONT Of people at a school ceremony..
yeah, but the good thing is, i'm not the only one and my speech is only about 4 sentences, but still...
i need some advice... plz help..

just get up there and say ur 4 sentences calmy & not too fast.
pretend that u need to do it good or else something bad wll happen.
if ur speech is only 4 sentences you'll be done by the time you start to get scared
PRETEND that ur confident even if ur not =)

a thing that really helps is to PRACTICE. it sound pretty lame but it really works. it'll be less nevrous on the day and you'll know a little bit off by heart but coz you speech is short you'll proberly know it all by heart

I suck at public speaking too.
Memorize your presentation REALLY WELL..
Then find a spot on the wall kinda behind a student or something~
Not too high, not too low.
Kind of in between two people's heads or something?
Stare at that spot, it will appear you're making eye contact! lol
And you can pretend everyone else isn't there

i used to be just like you. i hated talking in front of people. i stuttered and shook and i just kept moving around a lot haha.
the only thing you can do is practice. it helped me a lot.
practice in front of a mirror, by yourself, first.
say things slowly and clearly.
gradually, start practicing in front of a small group of close friends, 2 or 3, maybe 4 people.
do that a few times until you can try a bigger group of maybe 5 or 6 people (that you don't know too well!)
eventually you'll have the confidence to speak in front of a much larger crowd.

wee hahah i'm taking a public speech class
if you have problems with presentations
try to do something you have interests in
it's much easier on yourself
and
you may think people are confident when they're speaking
but they're just as nervous as you are
i use to really hate it and like i would stuttter and crap, still do but i kinda get over it haha i make it less embarassing by laughing at myself..~ lol
just think of it like talking to a friend
cept your friend is the class? hahah if you hate it now your gonna hate it even more in college, especially when you have small classes

i used to feel the exact same way. but i guess it helps if you don't think of it too much and just do it like you're really good at it.
and hey, you're not the only one who has to do it, right? others usually have to do it as well? just take it easy and be confident,
cause you have the guts to get up there. you're not the only who has the fear. don't worry.
i'm in speech myself, and even i have those times where i'm afraid to go up there. it's not that big of a deal, i promise.

it's normal =]
i remember my legs used to shake like crazyyy every time i was in front of people, and i'll start speaking so fast that no one could understand me. hahha
but yeahhh definitelyyy practice! now, i'm so comfortable and confident in front of people that it's like.. second nature to me.
try taking some drama classes? it'll help =] if not, just practice in front of like.. your class =]
