This is really random but...

I have some senior friends (I myself am still a sophomore TT^TT I WANNA GO TO COLLEGE!!),
and I know about 4 that applied to UCLA, UCSD, and UCBerkeley.

This is not all...


3 friends that applied were admitted into UCLA and UCSD, but not UCB.
At first, I thought, "Okay, since I've heard UCB is the best UC in the system, so it's probably because they weren't good enough."

But then, my friend that was rejected by UCLA and UCSD was ACCEPTED into UCBerkeley.

So that's really something...
hehe

My friends that were rejected by UCB were really offended, and so was the friend that got rejected from LA and SD (his mom went to the administration office to ask the reason, and they said it was because his World History wasn't good enough. 0.0 UH OH... gotta go work on my history T^T)

Did this happen to anyone else?

Is it me or is it that Berkeley's kinda... off this year?

haha i think overall, college decisions are ... differnet, not "off".

my two girl friends, definitely top 7 smartest girls in my senior class, were rejected from UCLA.

my guy friend, who only took 3 ap [this year only] his entireeeeee high school years [compared to their 6-7 overall] and is like... maybe top 20 guys, got accepted.

the girls's test scores + grades were higher than his; and they had more extracurriculars. so i dont know. colleges vary! hehe

Hmm... same thing kind of happened to me. Except it was between UCD and UCI.

For 06-07, UCI had a better reputation than UCD. It was ranked higher and whatnot.
However, when acceptance letters came in, UCD rejected me and UCI accepted me.

I was also kind of at a loss for words too.

^ It really sucks when UCD, UCI and UCSB don't either all accept you or all reject you!! Then you're just so confused!! Cause they're so similar.

I was the opposite, accepted by UCD, rejected by UCSB. Which was the biggest shock of the year. Which is weird since UCD ranks multiple times higher, in my opinion.
Honestly, I think UC decisions were really weird this year.
There were a lot of factors, but at least they got accepted into one of UCLA and Cal. ^^

I was the only one who got UCB but not UCLA at my school.
Most of my other friends who got UCLA didn't get UCB.

The whole thing is weird.

Some girl with higher grades and more AP classes got rejected from UCB and another girl with regular classes got accepted.

That's just one example.

So you never know what's going to happen.

^omg you're outta state? yay! that means i still have a chance out getting into a uc school.

lmao, you guys who got accepted into either ucla, ucb, or ucsd should just be happy. they're all pretty dang good schools. heck all UC schools are good.
