Hip hop duo Mighty Mouth presents a more stylish and refined type of hip hop. Two rappers, Shorry J and 237 a.k.a. Sangchu, have built their careers by taking part in a variety of live performances and album productions with Hyun Jin-young and Ju Seok. They take their name “Mighty Mouth” after an American animation about a courageous and clever rodent character “Mighty Mouse.” Their digital single “I Love You” featuring singer/actress Yoon Eun-hye has created quite a sensation among hip hop fans. Mighty Mouth makes history in “Digital Music Awards”

Hip hop duo Mighty Mouth won in this month’s “Digital Music Awards.”

Aside from winning the “Song of the Month” award for “I Love You,” Mighty Mouth also won the “Rookie of the Month” award. In the history of the “Digital Music Awards,” which started in 2006, this was actually the first time that the same singer has won both awards.

Winners of this music awards are based on the monthly sales on songs being used as background music in the mini homepage site Cyworld.

According to Mighty Mouth’s label, Joo’s performances with the hip hop duo were done for free.

The label stated that for featuring in Mighty Mouth’s “I Love You” performances for 2 weeks, it was ready to pay Joo to cover all the expenses she will be spending for the performances like make-up, manager fee, car and food expenses etc. but she refused everything.

JYP Entertainment explained that Joo performed with Mighty Mouth not because of money but because of friendship.

First, Yoon Eun Hye lent her vocals to their debut single, �I Love You,� and her high-profile collaboration helped the track shoot to the top of music charts with stunning speed. The song was then performed live by JOO, and then actress Han Ga In.

Now the rest of their first full-length album is poised for success; the current song gaining traction is �Energy,� which features the Wonder Girls� Sun Ye. But that�s not all � the album features performances by Solbi, Yuri, DJ DOC�s Kim Chang Ryeol, and even Horan. (Horan?? That sure caught my eye.)

Track 2 from Mighty Mouth first studio album which was apparently leaked on 13th June and spread like wildfire all over the internet. Think it�s really a marketing gimmick now in Korea? Epik High and even Wonder Girls have suffered album leaks prior to release date and threatened legal action but nothing has happened. Highly energetic performance from our Min leader and you could feel how excited she is from the studio recording video.

Nothing beats seeing Sun Ye with minimal makeup. ^^

What will be the effect with Sun Ye being featured on Mighty Mouth�s title track �Energy� from their new album released today?

Sun Ye was featured in Mighty Mouth title track �Energy� from their debut album released today and as a result is being compared with Yoon Eun Hye who had featured in Mighty Mouth debut single �I Love You�.

Many music lovers have high expectations of Sun Ye, particularly as the success of Mighty Mouth�s debut single, �I Love You� was attribtuted to Yoon Eun Hye�s participation and her part in the song had a big percentage. So this has largely contributed to the expectation that they have for Sun Ye participation.

According to a music critic, �Yoon Eun Hye was singing for the first time since hanging up her mic from her Baby Vox days which explains why �I Love You� was extra refreshing and special. People was piqued to see if she could cut it as a singer still. So there is every reason for Sun Ye to do well since she is an important member of the Wonder Girls and highly popular among fans now.�

According to CJ Music managing Mighty Mouth, �It would be a great feeling if we can achieve success once again with this feat. track. The feat. song would be in for direct comparison with the previous and we are pretty worried�, as they took a conservative view of whether it would be a success.

The song �Energy� which Sun Ye is featured is a light-hearted song and combines the talented rapping of Mighty Mouth with Sun Ye�s mature vocals, bringing out the sweet bubbly flavor of the track.

Mighty Mouth released �I Love You� in March 2008 and swiftly named the most popular song in World Music charts, Inkigayo Take 7, Music Bank Final 3. It also picked up Song of the Month and Rookie of the Month plus other awrds.
