It's getting around that time again where we start slathering on the white stuff. so what do you use? has your routine changed from last year? did you not wear any and wear some this year? What brand do you recomend?

Personally I use No-AD spf 60. So far it's the highest i found and works the best.. I don't get burnt or tanned at all.. so it works for me alot.

Unlike you guys, I need to get some color. I'm too white.

What does suntan lotion do as opposed to sunscreen?

Does it help you to get darker? Is it bad for you?

As for sunscreen, when I use it, I have to search for a specific kind because most brands make my face burn.

I... don't think I'll use sunblock this year, maybe not even sunscreen. At least not one with an spf higher than 20. It'll be nice to keep a bronze skin color for summer this year, actually. I'm getting sick of seeing pasty white skin on everyone around me (including me @_@; )

Haha i just put some sunscreen on my now because I am planning on going out in a few minutes. Honestly, I hate putting on sunscreen but I have too because I am too tanned! Last year, I never put on any sunscreen because I didn't really care about my skin colour back then. But now, I am getting really self cautious so I slather on a lot on me. I want to buy the really high SPF ones but my mom won't let me. She saids there's too much chemicals in really high ones. Oh well, I'll just use my 30 SPF ones for now. Maybe I'll go buy some higher ones secretly without her know. HAHA XD

Hm, I acutally have a question about this.

Everytime I use sunscreen/sunblock on my face, my skin becomes enflamed and it gets swollen. Then, my skin gets really dry and flaky. I'm pretty sure it's an allergic reaction, but I always wondered to what? Because the same thing happens when I use things that have SPF on my lips like Soft Lips and even Carmex! This never happened to me until about 2 years ago and my face has never been the same since =(

So it's been a while since I've actually put sunblock on my face because I'm scared it'll break out.

I want to start protecting my face all year round - gonna invest in some Shiseido SPF 55. I've heard a lot of good reviews on this stuff.

Wait is it weird to wear sunblock as a guy? Because I started to wear it because I don't want ot become so dark and I'm afraid that I'll get skin cancer and get all wrinkly in the future tongue.gif

i think it's perfectly fine for a guy to wear sunblock. every human being (where male or female) should because of the bad sun rays

Hoo... How come you guys have SPF 45 and stuff? We don't have anything over 30...

& jhuh, skin cancer doesn't target only girls. There's nothing wrong with guys using sunscreen, it's perfectly sensible.

I don't know what the summer weather is going to be like this year (last year it rained a lot, and the year before was hotter than HK woah)...

I have sun lotion left from last year. Nivea 50+spf and Garnier 30spf~ I don't know which to use.

EDIT: what's the difference between sunblock, sunscreen and sun lotion? Or are they the same thing?

I use Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 55 Sunblock on my arms, legs, and neck.

On my face I use Aveeno's Continuous Sunblock Lotion for the Face SPF 30.
