This is my first time hearing them. I prefer them singing in German, over English.
Not exactly my cup of tea, but still interesting.
I don't understand why people are so close minded. It seems most of the 'haters,' are basing their judgement on this bands fashion/style/influences. They should stop comparing, and judge the overall music composition; which in my opinion is not at all that bad.
Fashion has no boundries, nor restrictions. All fashion designers take inspiration from other sources. So what, if some of the members in the band 'Tokio Hotel,' are inspired by the Jrock in particular? Also, remember Jrock style itself, would have evolved from other fashion trends and what not.
It seems that people are mind-set, that only people who look 'asian' can wear 'asian' fashion.
What if a caucasian person was born in Asia, and wore asian fashion; would he or she face discrimination, and be called a 'poser;' similarily as 'Tokio Hotel?'
What exactly is wrong with liking a particular style? Fashion shouldn't be 'contained' in one particular country; it's called embracing multiculturalism. Putting aside differences, and just following an 'accepting as is' attitude.

Here's a deeper way of thinking to address the comment of this band being 'asian wanabees':
What exactly is an asian wanabee? Someone who is inspired by fashion/culture different from what they are used to? I am a Chinese born Canadian, with the absence of Chinese culture ever being taught to me; therefore I dress and speak quite 'Canadian'- I use this term loosely because Canada contains many cultures in one country. Anyways, being 'white washed,' nowadays I am noticing myself more drawn to asian culture, fashion and music.
Would I be considered an 'asian wanabee?' I probablly can pull this off because I 'look' asian, whereas a white person intrigued by asia is considered, right off the bat, as a wanabee.

LOL, a lot of teeny boppers are obsessed with Bill.
He's quite the (feminine) looker.
I liked him better in his earlier days...now he's starting to look like a creepy transvestite.

He's just feminine, not a transvestite.

teenbopper - fans between the age of 11-18 that listens to a genre of music that only likes the band out of image and vanity....Thus a teenybopper.
