So my parents want to get me a car for college but I'm currently stuck between the 3 listed above. I know theres a big difference between each of them but yeah, these are the 3 that came to my mind when they asked me what car I wanted.
But I'll fill this out to make it easier for people who decide to help me with my choice.
Please and Thank you smile.gif

Type of car (sporty, luxury, economy, SUV): Sporty
Price range: Nothing really
New or used: Not sure yet
Manual or automatic: Manual
Years of driving: About 3
Cars currently suggesting: TT, 350z, Solstice
Needs and other info (do you need passenger room, cargo space, AWD, etc):
-I want a car that good in the winter because Chicago has crazy snow storms
-Also, If I get this car for college I'll be driving it to school which is an hr away.
-Of course gas plays a big role with these crazy gas prices.
-Yes, I plan on modifying the car but since that will take while cuz of college
-Currently 18 and a female
-Also, I prefer the car to be a two door

I'm open to any other suggestions
Thanks again.

EDIT:
-What about the G35?

well your best bet would be the audi tt. It's the only one in the three cars that has awd and since you're saying it snow storms. But if it does snowstorm your sports car won't be going anywhere with it's low clearance. The 350z and solstice both won't be any good in snow. You've really picked the whole spectrum in terms of pricing btw. If you want power forget about the solstice it's just not fast or fun enough. The 350Z is littered everywhere. The audi TT is relatively unique. Were you thinking of the first generation audi btw??

audi's suck, the tt is especially gay. out of the cars listed the 350z is the best, for the snow just get an extra set of wheels with good snow tires.

The TT is nice but I like modified Z's. The pontiac not so much..

also the g can already run mid 13s stock and the hks intakes adds an estimated 10 extra hp and the exhausts add like 8 so yeah it should shove off about 1.5 to 2 sec off my times

No price range?

Porsche Carrera 4, all you ever need, awd, 2 door, fast, stylish, sporty and in manual smile.gif

I would recommend Lexus IS 250 AWD and spend a 1k on lowering spring and new rims to make it look sportier

The new Audi TT looks AMAZING. Also, it shares the same engine as my GTI 2.0T, which is a terrific engine. It gets good mpg and is a quick car. It's sporty and fwd, so better in snow than the other two theoretically.

i agree with everything akira has said. audi/vw = teh fail (i know this from personal experience of working at an audi/vw service center). and that 'blanket statement' is THE truth.

+1 for winter tires. Difference of night and day.

How about the new Mazda Miata? I think the new Miata would be a better bet than the Solstice

the 350z or Solstice, get the GXP if you can! I don't know about the Audi very much. The Saturn Sky is the same as a Solstice too remember, looks like a mini Corvette c6, they are awesome.

I like the VW Golf GTI's a lot, if it wasn't for the notorious electronic issue I hear about from everyone, the GTI would be on the top of my list of "Car to buy next" under "Hot Hatches".

since u seem to like cars with little or no trunk space and no back seats, go and get a Lotus Elise/Exige.
