I have a chance to get a letter jacket because I made JV dance team as an incoming freshman.
My brother says not to,
because letter jackets are for the upperclassmen

what're your thoughts?

who cares what everyone thinks? you obviously deserve it if it's been offered to you.

my brother says that freshmen that get the "varsity jackets" are jumping too fast and would be looked down upon by the upperclassmen because it looks like they're trying to hard to fit in


he says to wait until junior year, at least (says the guy who's a senior and doesn't have one)

i think they look awesome and i would definitely get one if only my school does that kind of thing.. but then this doesn't solve ur question because i'm a junior ^^;;

but yeah we don't have that in our school so i can't help.

Get it, i regret not getting one when I was a freshman. I waited too long like last year and i was like nah... it's too late, it's not like I'm going to wear it after I graduate. I have two letters and a stack of patches, what a waste...
