I'm not sure if I should go to China with my chinese class for $2,000 for two weeks where I'll get to stay with a family. I don't know if its worth it.
Do i get to write this on my college applications?

I think it's a nice and really good experience. I'm not sure if it's worth it or not though because I've never been to China and it's been a few years since I've been to Taiwan so I don't know the average cost of plane tickets. It's definitely something you can put on your application... more so as in write an essay on it. But don't depend on just this; keep up your grades and stay involved! ^^

Well, if you have opportunities/experiences you can write about.. then I guess you shouldn't. Just that might not be worth $2,000. I would go for the experience more and then the college essay. But colleges love new, different experiences from the typical. It's just a good experience since it is the Olympics year and stuff.
