I have the thick, clear protective sleeve for my iPod video and have dropped it many times on occassion, but no damage resulted. Last night though, I dropped it on accident (again) and this time, the screen turned completely blank white. I searched for help tips online but nothing has worked - the screen is still blank white.

People are saying I should send it in for repair, but my brother told me usually the repair fee itself is sufficient to buy a brand new iPod.

What do you guys think? And do any of you know any other means of saving my iPod?

Dunno price email them and find out.

Few things to consider
Dropping broke it, bump it around, drop it again (while its off) maybe drop it in the other direction.
Consider taking it apart, and hope you can reconnect the screen.

Yeah I tried the resetting to factory settings thing yesterday and it still didn't work. At least I saved all my good music before doing so.

Well I'm probably just gonna have to get another iPod then. Can't believe that p.o.s. died so easily, though.
