Hey guys!

i'm looking for some real good NON DROWSY allergy medicine? don't know if i spelled those right but i'm currently using claritin but it doesn't work well for me even though its supposed to be strong. i still sneeze like CRAZY and get a runny nose. i'm just wondering if zyrtex (sp?) is good? or do you guys rec any other brand that is NON DROWSY?? thanks!

[edit]
oh yes, btw, i don't have time to go see a doctor and get a prescription from him. i'm looking for a over the counter pill.

I use one that is prepared by the pharmacy and is similar to Claritin. It works great. For me, I have nasty allergies so I have to use a nose sprayer (whatever they're called) too and sometimes eye drops.

claratin worked great for me. i also used nasal steroids [nasonex] for post nasal drip. interestingly enough, it all went away once i started to exercise and drink less alcohol.

Claritin
I love that stuff for allergies...I tried some natural crap, Benedryl, Zyrtex, etc. but Claritin is the best =)

I've used Claritin and generic Costco brand allergy medicine. They both were fine for me. If you go to the doctor, they can give you sample sized packs of allergy medicines so you don't have to pay tongue.gif

Zyrtec is pretty good and it's now available over the counter with the same prescribed strength.
Claritin is good but tends be to drowsy.
The best is go to your DR. can ask for samples to try.
Nasal sprays are effective, for me at least.

Claritin is excellent; it works every time! It's a lifesaver when I go to my friends' houses, because the majority of them have pets.

Yup! At Walmart they sell Zyrtec over the counter. I used to get Zyrtec-D prescription but they took away the D (for decongestion) because there was problems with that and now they have Zyrtec non-prescription! Yay! I love Zyrtec and vouch for it. Prescription-wise though, I am on Singular now because it doesn't have the side effect of insomnia or anything. Singular doesn't make me drowsy, I don't think, but my allergies are still horrible. I would get Zyrtec if I were you. =]]

My favorite is Allegra. I've been using it for years and it works well. Non-drowsy too.
