Politics is a process whereby organization is carried out by groups' decisions, that possess the authority to do so. The applications of power in politics are sometimes questionable as they occasionally infringe certain moral ethics. The hive, arguably the ultimate representation of cooperative association, serves as a model for society, and its inner workings, as an ideal guideline to at what purpose external policy should be directed. Whereas altruism seems to prevail therein, the contrary can be said of our society; individualism thrives and also conflicts. It is rather unfortunate that the sphere of politics is home to many contentions, and its policy does not meet everyone's needs. Not only is politics subject to controversy, but it stands on tremulant foundations as the authority of the decision-makers can be overthrown by the opposition. There needs to be a collective mindset and people who act accordingly to the course of action necessary to achieve collective goals. Societies should not revolve around individual rights, but on the contrary collective duties. Humans are praised for being one of the few living organisms capable of altruism, yet ironically we do not seem to fare as well as some of the more primitive living organisms we see in eusocial insects. With consciousness, comes altruism, that must be exercised. Political affairs must be carried out accordingly to the rule of God, or with an eye to the greater good of all. We often disregard nature and its teachings, often looking down on all that reside outside of civilization, but we must abide with the teachings nature has to offer, only then can we perceive what was hidden before our incredulous eyes as they unfold into luminescent wonders, be humbled by the beauty it has to offer. If only all would abide and learn from said teachings; politics, economy, society might leave their current forms and come closer to the perfect harmony we find in nature.
