Having girls wrestle guys isn't fair to either. It's not fair to the girls because they're not as strong as the guys. It's not fair to the guys because, if they lose to a girl, it's humiliating. The rationale behind not giving girls their own teams is that there aren't enough girls who want to become wrestlers for it. But, it hasn't seemed to occur to anyone (besides me) that more girls might be interested in joining a wrestling team if they had their own. After all, girls know they're not as strong as guys and that might be discouraging many of them from joining wrestling teams because they figure they'd lose all or most of their matches if they did.

But there is organized wrestling for girls.

Unfortunately, it is of the oil or jello variety.

We don't have wrestle team at my school cause not even enough GUYS participate.
I think even girls have their own wrestling team, there still will not be enough girls.
I mean when you look at it Fall Season has Volleyball, Cross Country, and Tennis.
Winter has basketball, soccer and waterpolo. Then Spring has track, badminton, softball, and swim.
I really don't see enough girls taking on wrestling even if they had an all girls wrestling program

If I could pick a sport that doesn't have an all girls' program it would be football.
Okay, maybe not tackle football but flag football...

Yeah I know a couple guys in my school who wrestled some girls cause they're darn skinny and were in the same weight class as girls. When one of them beat a girl, they were like "Oh it's no big deal." One of them lost, and they were the laughing stock of literally everyone who watched the match..

I would assume that would be the effect, not many people would think that girls would Wrestle in my opinion. I know some girls that were on the Wrestling team in other schools and most guys would grope them and fell all over them. :\

It would be nice to see women wrestling. It is quite more interesting than men's. I agree there should be more women wrestling teams.

yes girls should have their own wrestling team, but as far as girls wrestling boys goes thats a good idea aswell because it will beneficial to both sexes to if their in the same weight class. also good wrestling should never be about pure power their should be some refined technique in any grappling art.

aslo you guys if intrested should check our N.A.G.A. they have a womens division.

I just don't think there would be enough interest to have female wrestling teams. Yes it is possible because women can play sports, but it doesn't generate enough interest. Think about a men's synchronized swimming team... lol. Not gonna happen.

Popular as in many people watch it. Anything unusual can be discussed by millions of people, but that doesn't mean it is popular. I can't believe I'm still up this late.

Your girls have to wrestle the guys? WTH? Here, we have the boys wrestle boys and girls wrestle girls. There are no crossovers. Only in practice do we actually get to cross. Shouldn't there be some rule where the genders aren't allowed to cross?
