You don't have to totally cut meat from your daily life, but as of cutting down less consumption of meat.

I'm not trying to covert you to be vegetarian, but more as of aware.

What they put into these animals are also going into our bodies cause we're eating them.

That is really scary.
But I don't know if I should still eat meat. Since I don't know for sure if they actually do that. How can that be approved of what they are doing and letting us eat such things. Really.
But I don't think I can not eat meat. I guess it's something I should take into consideration.

I'm not surprised that this thread will die probably by tomorrow.

People are too afraid to admit or watch how their meat is "processed." It really is a sad thing that we humans are the self-proclaimed dominant ones on this planet.

I'm against animal torture but its understandable why companies are doing it. The whole existence of these animals are to be eaten, why would they need a life of luxury knowing they'll be soon killed? I mean sure, the conditions can be better for these animals but that's going to take a big tole at the owner's expense. They'll be loosing major profit if more money was spent on bettering the conditions. Anyways, I've seen all these videos and they don't affect me in any way, I still eat the same amount of meat as I did prior to watching these videos. I just learned how it got on my plate, I consider it an educating experience. There is a reason why humans are omnivores and not herbivores.

^ haha yea

except for some cows in Japan xD they get special treatments =D
now that's good beef.

I'm not bothered by this. I'll still eat meat, it's not that I'm heartless, it's that meat...is murder, tasty tasty murder. (anybody seen that threadless shirt? it's awesome haha_)
and this is why some vegans and vegetarians refuse to befriend me. rofl.

Meat production is an industry, these animals are mere objects.

My friend is a vegetarian because she is a devote Buddhist but sometimes she has to have a bit of meat because she doesn't cook in her family. So it's pretty difficult to be vegetarian if you live with a non-vegetarian family.

I can't help but still eat meat. x]

I've seen it before.
I was vegetarian once but my body couldn't keep up with my diet plan so I had to stop and consume meat once in a while.
I still rarely eat meat, though.

my internet is too slow right now to load hardly anything but if that's the peta video that films cows and chickens being tortured/treated like crap before being killed then i've seen it. i've got it on a dvd laugh.gif a lot of people choose to not think about how the animals that we are eating for dinner or whatever were actualling living and breathing creatures with a family of their own. well, to each their own!

i've seen so many graphical images about the meat industry and my mentor at uni does research in meat science, so i'm barely phased by stuff like this anymore.

i avoid meat as often as i can and if i do, i choose halal.

this is why i became a vegetarian (but i still eat fish *though i hardly even eat fish nowadays...so i guess semi) not just because of those videos but just for the sake of pesticides and steriods being put on animals. o.O;

FYI, human's teeth structure is meant to be herbivores. We just CHOSE to be omnivores.

People should be educated about whats in their food, this isn't with meats only of course also vegetables. We may not care today, but in the long run it effects our health....then again people may know, but don't really care. Society loves tradition even if it may be harmful.

Also people forget the hormones that are being injected in their meats, the ones that make you age faster. We are omnivores meaning we are 'opportunistic feeders' (this is still questionable about us being omnivores) whatever you want to eat is by choice if you are starving to death in the middle of nowhere you can eat your own friend if needed, gross I know. But just to say, I am not trying to make others stop eating their glorious meat, but it would defintely be healthier to not have meats everyday.

Human anatomy is actually suited for herbivorous diets.
Studies have shown that humans have more similaries in
teeth structure and intestinal/digestive characteristics with herbivores than omnivores/carnivores.
for most of human existence on earth, we have been herbivores =/

in my opinion,
i think that its great that people put these videos up
to expose the public to what your dinner goes through BEFORE it ends up on your plate.

I'm glad that I decided to go veggie 2+ months ago,
and I don't regret it at all :]
