I drive a 99' Toyota Corolla, it's 118,000 miles+ and today the OD off light came on. I dont know if it's suppose to turn on automatically or if i accidently touched something. Idk how to turn the OD on again or where the button is located. Is it bad that the "OD off" light is on?? I did some research online and it said that the light should only be turned on when carrying heavy objects or pulling on something that weighs a lot. I'm getting a little nervous and if any of you guys can help, it would be great!

There should be a little button underneth the gearstick. OD on and off is nothing to be worried about. OD is just to save gas button that you press to change it to a high gear ratio gear. OD off should be used when you are driving up hill or trying to accelerate hard as it will give you that extra boost while OD on should be used when you are cruising or up to speed.
Edit- from the after post, seems like you fixed it. I usually just keep my OD but sometimes the OD causes that extra boost to accelerate to come slower than usual.
