Restore Songs From Ipod To Pc free?

i just gotta new computer, and at best buy..they didnt restore my files from my old computer...
and i gotta new ipod...and my old ipod has all the songs...
and i tried music rescue from this UK site. it worked..BUT
the songs if u go to my music, comes up in folders..i dont really like that, its messy, and i'm a music enthusiast FREAK
how can i do this more organized..... and free or pretty cheap.

Its too bad you didn't spend the time to make backups of the files you value so much. As far as I know... once its in apple goes and renames it all. BUT your ID3 tags are preserved and should be okay so when you put it in itunes or whatever it will still be sorted but those files are gone unless you can find something to read your ID3 tags and rename the files (the godfather id3 tag editor)

WAAAAT...
how do u use it.?
i downloaded it.. and its vista,
and i went on my music..and all that came out was all the folders with the songs..700+ songs...

what other ways?!

OR, i still have my old computer. what can i do..like an easy way?

dont think you can
just copy the files out and put the files into like... winamp or itunes
it will still show up correctly but the filenames and folders will be way off.

You can use a program called the godfather and there are other pograms that can rename songs based on the ID3 tags

I had to do that before my ipod died.
There are several FREE programs available on downloads.com
Just type in copy ipod and click on Free under License type.
Pick one and you're good to go.
