who do we pm if we want to report someone violating the 20 character rule?

Click on the report post button (located under the user's name& post info on the left) - a mod should receive the report and deal with it

If you find threads or certain people who always post less than the 20-characters rule, report them to any Soompi mod (especially ones that take care of that area) or use the REPORT FUNCTION. It's not fair that only you gets to be warned for it, any other rule breakers should be too.

The only place that isn't too big on the 20 character rule is the S/T. Bumps are already free posts and those bumps are limited anyways and used only for the seller(s) of the thread. Now for the Humor, that's a different story, people can't post just "LOL" or something similar, they are suppse to post something more.

This rule is ok. I am with another forum that has more stringent rules.
Well, I kinda understand why coz some people are merely there for post counts and not the value of their posts. No offense meant to anyone. Just stating the obvious.

In that other forum, you're not even allowed to post one-liner statements. And post counts aren't counted by the # of replies. You get points / credits for the totality of your post I guess ... or something like that. The more lengthy the post is, the more points you get ... kinda. Well, there are people who still try to circumvent this by posting very short 1-line statements and post another very shot 1-line statement to make it 2. While the system may allow, mods are very strict. Peeps like those get a warning haha.

If you quote something long and write a short response, that's violating the rules, too.
Quotes only count as one character. And using codes count, too, but for it to count, it should be actual words.

A character = one letter/space/symbol.

For my question:

What about people who uses the bold, text size, text color, etc, HTML codes when typing? Example:

Lol poor guy <- only 12 characters.
Lol poor guy <- still 12 characters, but the board does not filter those fancy HTML codes, which allows them to pretty much circumvent the word filter without spamming something or using "20 characters" in their post

People do it in the humor section and elsewhere, though I don't know if its reportable

I think you would have to have some time pass after the moderator marked you a warning. You have to PM the moderator or whoever gave you the warning so that they can remove the warning but only after a certain time has elpased.
