Er, I doubt it, I've seen the Lollipop around quite enough to be able to differentiate it from the Ice Cream. Plus, I overheard some girls in my class talking about it today as well. I suppose I can't completely overrule the possibility that I saw wrong, but I changed channels and caught just the last bit of the CF where that corny woman's voice goes "(insert phone name here)". I think the CF model was Shin Mina? I don't know, I'll keep a lookout to verify if it's out or not.

Nope, there's no such thing, at least not at this point. If so, I'd be seeing its posters plastered all over Seoul and all my students would have it already. There is an Ice Cream laptop commercial...maybe you just saw that?

Then you can edit all your settings You can turn any sound off/on.. so yep :3


Anyway, LG Icecream is a pretty good looking phone... but it crashes once in a while and it'd delete all memory stored in the phone =__________= Super uncool. I use it as my alarm clock and there's been a few times where the phone would crash and cause me to miss class. So yea, don't depend your life on your Icecream

Ohh thanks! That sucks about the crashing... kind of scared it'll happen to me.
Also, do you (or anyone) happen to know how to tell when the phone is fully recharged? There doesn't seem to be any indicator thingy...

EDIT: My charger is making a weird high frequency noise when plugged into the cellphone... is anyone else getting this too? :S

Hey guys! I was wondering if any one of youguys were having problem with the limited space for texting. Like from my own personal experience, Korean phones do not offer the T9 function (not the one that you have to type in the words yourself to save the words to the phone, but the one that will recognize the word after you type the right keys).

Anyway, my question is that because Korean phones are designed to txt Korean over English, there is a fewer bytes (fewer number of letters that you can send in one text).. at least for the Korean phones that I saw. isn't it the same for the ice cream phone? If so, is it just me or is anyone else having any difficulty trying to deal with this too lol? It's like, having to text something that could be texted using just one text to using two texts. hahaha x.x

Does this phone NOT show who the text sender is if the sender is a different phone company user? Because for verizon, if you use ANY korean phones, you can't see who the sender is (it is shown as "no sender") if the sender is not a verizon user. Which suxxxxx big time! LOL so you wouldn't know who texted you if he/she uses like tmobile, cingular, at&t, and everything else.

haha so yeah I just wanted to know how it is with other cell phone providers using korean phones, although ice cream doesn't work with verizon

honestly, i dislike the service & i have the recent new 3g sims,
it doesnt matter about what sims card. it's the phone
& it's not all that great, the settings you expect all koreanized & prettiful
but the only pretty thing about it is the front.

the settings sucks, you can't send text msgs in korean.
the texting doesn't even have korean letters on the keypad
so it's hard to know where the letters are for some of you.
i'm use to sending text in korean, but this phone gave me a
huge disappointment... -___-
i have debates on this phone like A LOT.
& lollipop is coming out, so i'm selling this.
& NO i'm not advertising, so don't ask me. i won't be
selling it here, thanks! (:

^ lol even if the lollipop comes out it's gonna be the same as the ice cream if not worse. Ice cream does have korean on the keypad, and if yours doesn't, that might be because it is the GSM version? if lollipop comes out in gsm version for sim cards (which no ones really sure if it will), it's gonna change just like the ice cream and the limitations on texting in korean and keypad and all the other things are gonna be changed as the ice cream did.

anyway overall most of the koreans who had both say they prefer ice cream wooooo how can they not <3

Um, but didn't you check out info for the phone anywhere before you bought it? The unlocked versions do NOT have Korean and are modified for their international releases--there are like, 60 pages talking about it. . Like someone else mentioned, it's highly doubtful that the Lollipop or any other Korean phone would have the Korean letters on the keys. That would be too weird for foreigners who don't know Korean.
