if you back track i listed the problems

^ the most common one I have is "maximum applications running"
as in like i'd suppose text open, game open, music open or some things like
that, but I never have like anything open when this happens.

Than it only happened once, but when i was on the phone I could
hear the other person, but the other person couldn't hear me at all.

And than once or twice it randomly shuts off by itself and restarts.

But none of these are like permanent, the first two you just turn it
off and back on and it's back to normal.

I've been totally obsessed with those phone for a week now. Watched the commercial a hundred times read the whole thread.

A lot of you are having problems with hanging. It's hard to determine how common those problems are though..

I don't really mind a phone that lags a bit once in a while. But an utter breakdown would be something I couldn't bear. (I live in the Netherlands so no LG service centers here) I've contacted the online Dutch LG service center about repairs if it hangs and how expensive that would be with a model that they don't sell in Europe. (I'm expecting a negative answer though, global guarantees might be a bit too much to ask)
And I don't think that they'll fix a phone that they don't know at all..

Question time!

Q1: Do you think that the prices of the unlocked version 1 will go down even more if the unlocked icecream 2 will come out?

Q2: Is t9 a function that you can turn off? (Since I obviously write in Dutch this would be important for me)

Q3: I've heard several people comment on the fact that the reception isn't clear on other sites. I haven't heard the problem here though, are any of you experiencing static noise or a muffled voice while making a phone call?

Q4: I've seen several people with pink LED lighting how is this possible? (Is this purely the korean version?)

Sorry i have tmobile but it works with at and t in general. Not sure how good the connection is though
depends on your location of course though.

1. Prices go down with time because time passing=less popular in general. I don't actually don't see a connection
with new versions of phones depressing the prices of the old version. Usually its just that the older one becomes outdated that
the price is lowered.

2. Turn off t9? Like just typing each letter manually? yea you can turn it off.

3. No static or muffling for me just low volume and once the other person couldn't hear me.

4. There are no options to change the led colors. Guessing it's the korean version? Or someone hacked it?

the name of the ice cream 2 is the LG LU1600 (it was easier to look up information/pictures using that name instead of ice cream 2); there's a picture of it on the first page, and you can see the differences from the ice cream 1 above it.
the ice cream 2 is 3G, and the screen is bigger! but i like the ice cream 1 better .. it looks cuter XD

I'm still really tempted to just order it! I have the money it's absolutely driving me mad. I'm actually thinking about this phone in class when I'm bored..

I've decided to wait for a week to see if it's something I really want or just a temporary obsession with cute phones (That obsession might be permanent)

I've contacted a local mobile phone shop and they're telling me that they can't fix it if something is wrong with it. "You would have to send it back to the person you bought it from on ebay" That's what the guy basically said.

Do you know any ebay sellers with great guarentees? (For defects, and who would pay the shipping costs?) I'm actually willing to pay 40$ more if I'm insured of that.

I've also contacted the Dutch Lg. They're saying that they will fix an lg phone but I'll have to pay everything. I've contacted them again to see how much it would costs for a simple "hanging" repair and I've asked them if they'll actually fix phones that are not available in Holland.


Could you please tell me how long you've owned the phone and if you didn't have access to an lg service center would it still be working?

my phone started going crazy yesterday.. kinda
i was listening to music on it and it just restarted by itsself
and also wheni was texting >< i dont have a problem with but i just hope itdoesnt hang on me
and the lowest volume on the music is SO loud. lol i cant listen to it in class cuz i cant hear anyone

1. There's a cable included, and also a CD. You can use it through the CD software to connect everytime, but I just simply hook it up and drag files to the folder. It's super simple =)
2. Yes, you can use different ringtones for different people.
3. Different backgrounds, JPG for sure and PNG.. maybe? Oh but it supports GIFs if that's what you're wondering.
