well right now I am planning to lose my body fat in general then start working out so I can be more... built? :|

right now I am pretty fit, I do have quite bit of biceps and little bit of abs... that are not visible >.>
therefore , I am planning to lose body fat.

but is it okay to lose bodyfat by just not eating rather than eating healthy and exercising?
because of some issues, I do not really have that much time or opportunities to go running. so I dunno, I was wondering if I could eat a lot less and do little bit of cardio and lose body fat that way...?

is that okay?

just look through the health & fitness forums for tips on losing body fat.

I suggest you eat 5-6 small portions per day, and only eating lean meats (fish), veggies & fruits.

You get cravings and everything if you start starving yourself, and you end up over eating sometimes.
Starving yourself usually doesn't give you good results in the end...

Hmm actually not eating helped me quite a bit last summer.... well I did exercise AND ate less so maybe that is why? tongue.gif
Idunno... I guess I can try to eat really really healthy ... like no junk food at all and eat just healthy sandwiches.

Wrong. not eating will cause your metabolism to slow down and forces your body to store fat. that's why it's recommended that you eat 6 small meals per day, to keep your metabolism up and let your body burn fat. Also, by not eating, you are also starving your body, which will cause you to lose muscle mass. Of course, these small meals should be healthy. And no, you will never lose your fat if you don't do cardio. I can't see how you can't spare 1 hour a day to go running

Ahhh I see, that makes a lot of sense. Thank you...
well I try to go running as often as possible but then there are issues like work, homework, siblings and parents... and they seem to get in my way quite often sad.gif

So I guess all I have to do is eat healthy, no junk food, exercise and yepp tongue.gif

thanks all

Yes, I would also agree with everyone else. Not eating is such a bad idea. Often times you lose weight and then reach a plateau where you don't lose any weight for a while.. or when you start eating normally again, you can gain it all back quickly. I would try your best to do it the healthy way! smile.gif You can't go wrong by doing it that way!

Whenever I don't eat I lose the few muscles I have lol. I'd rather have a toned body than be left with only fat and bones. So work out a little more.

never not eat. . . when i went through that phase (i never ate at school and only ate dinner) i lost my boobs, like they decreased from a b-cup to barely an a-cup. Seriously i felt so bad and i didn't feel feminine. Then after i ate more regularly and now i still weigh less than before i started not eating but i gained back my boobs and i feel better. I suggest eating a big breakfast so you have energy throughout the day and then snacks throughout. Also dinner, eat it early. . . i eat mine around 6-7pm. Because you need time for it to digest before you sleep and after dinner i try not to eat anymore. This is because sleeping after you just ate, one it isn't good for you and two you digest slower and the fat just stores. Then the next morning the cycle goes on with a big breakfast. This makes up for how hungry you were the night before AND you lose the fat from it throughout the day because you are most active then so it doesn't matter how much you eat then!

Nope. Because once you start eating regularly again, it'll all come back.

don't do that.! gahh, that's not the effective way to loose fat. you have to exercise and eat right food.. but don't go fasting.

by starving yourself you slow down your metabolism which is bad for your body.
when ever you do eat your body will store alot of it because it needs energy.

I no longer give out my facebook but you can hit me up on my tumblr.

You'll actually gain more weight if you skip meals because your body will suddenly think there is a war or something because of a lack of food and store more body fat.

i went to this workshop and they said you need 2,000 calories a day or something. but if you have more, it will store it as bodyfat. and my teacher told me that eating celery is a wway to lose calories. you lose more calories than you consume in a celery.
