I've never had it and never understood why its so much more expensive. To be honest, it doesn't really appeal to me so much as i can imagine the chewy looking outer shell is well...chewy and i don't like chewy. Whats so great about it, is it just the chewy part thats there or is the ice cream actually better tasting. Does the chewy have flavor? i'm soo curious. I'd try is myself if chewy didn't make me gag.

i havent had it but i am thinking of making it at home.

i think it will taste a bit like "daifuku" which is a japanese type of rice cake i bought at the asian grocery.

so there is say vanilla ice cream on the inside (yum). around it is the freezer cold chewy (yes i like chewy) and a bit gummy rice flour padding skin. which itsel fis dusted with fine suigar. as u eat and chomp on the chewy yummy cake and mix the smooth vanilla creamy ice cream, you get m overall yummy moderate sweet cute tasty treat. the rie flour itself is a little sweet and probably i will put vanilla essence.

its fun to eat because you do not need to wash up the icecream bowls afterwards. you can stack up to 20 mochis in one ice cream container in the freezer and then eat them all by hand. so you can actually extend the life of ur 2 litre tub of ice cream but one tub makes... maybe 50 mochi !

well, i agree with you about how expensive it is. i don't know why it's so expensive but it's delicious IMO. sunmoon described pretty much what's so good about it. that's why i love it ^0^

If you don't like chewy things just don't eat it. It is chewy but not to the point where you're chewing it forever

Actually to be honest, Mochi isn't really that chewy. That is really not something to be concerned about at all.

The Mochi layer is really thin.


You would probably spend more time chewing a starburst than a Mochi.

It costs a bit more than the regular ice cream here.
But it tastes great; I think it's totally worth it

To me.. it's really difficult to describe the texture. But it's really good. It's chewy.. but not too chewy. I wanna say it sorta mels in your mouth.. but I'm probably wrong. I love it. (:

theres even a little store here that sells it in different flavors. [;
i don't think its that expensive. o__o
and it just kind of melts in your mouth, (the ice cream part) with a bit of a softness to it because of the mochi.
don't think its chewy at all.

I had it, but it's really messy to eat in my opinion.
I like just having mochi or just having ice cream.
But maybe it's partly because I hate to bite into cold things too :T
