Has anyone have Dry Lobster and mixed fruit with mayonnaise before?

The fruit usually contains cantalope, grape, honeydew, and cherry

I am not even sure if it is called "dry lobster and mixed fruit with mayonnaise" but thats what I call it lol.

They usually serve this in chinese place such as wedding party.

Sorry if the quality is bad, had to take it with my camera. I only eat it once a year because I don't know what it is really called =(

i gues it would taste a bit like a prawn cocktail

its not something i wud really like because if i was going to eat lobster wud eat it plain boiled with a little salt. then have it wit h cucumber and tarar or seafood salad dressing as a dip.

I used to eat them all the time when I lived in tw! Haven't had them in a while =(

I don't think it's dried lobster.. more like fried lobster/prawns stirred in with the mayo and fruit.

hmm they didn't look fried though, maybe boiled lobster and then freezed over a period of time then defrosted it or something.

They didn't taste like prawns hehe, I taste very much like lobster =D

It felt kinda starchy, but it was damn crunchy and damn good.. omggg

Wow, I've never tried it either... it looks pretty cubey. haha

I've never tried that before. It looks good and I just love lobster. I'll give it a try if I ever come across it.

HAHA the Chinese lobster salad. I don't like it. And yea i don't think it's dried lobster. It's just regular boiled lobster meat that has been chilled and mixed in with fruit and mayo. I'm not a fan of mayo especially when it's mixed with fruit. I usually pick out the lobster, wipe off the mayo, and eat just that.

side note: if you want to order it in a chinese restaurant just ask the waiter for "lobster and fruit salad"

i used to wipe off the mayo too lol but then i forced myself to eat it and after sometime, i grew to like it, the salty and creamy taste of lobster =D

haha "salad" is basically just a mixture of cold foods and usually has some dressing (like pasta salad, fruit salad, tuna salad, etc...) ^^

I would probably like it better if it didn't have the mayo lol. But then my cousins would probably kick my butt for saying that

uhh... i just had to point out that you cant freeze to defrost a lobster if you already boiled it (-_____-)

or if it's what i think you're saying, i think it totally takes away from a fresh lobster if you boil it then freeze it, then defrost. takes away from all the goodness!
