[Sky's Crying]

I'm pretty familiar with C-pop. However, I'm wondering if there are bands/singers out there that might resemble the music of maybe like Kelly Clarkson? I'd like to listen to some songs that have a fuller sound (as in with a band and everything) and not so much pop-ballads. Thanks!

for females, I recommend, S.H.E, jolin (I don't like her much, and her vocals aren't really strong, but she has good songs)

those artistes don't really have a kelly clarkson sound, but the male singers I recommended (ESP cao ge, tank, leehom and jj lin have goood voices. Jay doesn't sing that well, but he's really talented anyway cos he's a really good composer, and some of his songs are realy good (this coming from a non fan)

Okay, I used to be into CPOP before falling in love with KPOP so i have pretty much, 3 years of experience in CPOP and from my experience....

The musically talented:
Jay Chou: lols...he's a MUST listen to, he's HELL talented, he writes ALL his own music, produces it, writes some lyrics, directs most of his own MVs and his music is...unbelievably AMAZING, ranging from beautiful deep ballads to RnB to Rap (he's a really good rapper, not like...crappy chinese rapping, like GOOD rap). lol...and inevitbly, i was a big fan of his hahaha...

Lee Hom: Another talented songwriter who write all his songs, i personally like his rnb/ballads more than his faster paced songs, buh still, he's also very good. I'm not THAT a big fan of him so i don't know much else, buh he's for sure talented and got worthwhile msuic.

JJ Lin: This boy is first of all, is adorable <3 really, he is xD and he, is also amazingly talented <3333 he writes/composes his own stuff, he's voice is what really got me though, its slightly like...raspy and well, yeah, you should check him out <3

Wilbur Pan: Another guy that writes his own stuff, I'm not sure if he writes ALL of it, buh I know for sure, he's written some songs or lyrics, anyways, he's got like...the good ballads and pop songs, he's also a rapper and yeah, he's fast songs are catchy and he's cute xD

Tank: He's considered a newbie, buh he writes his own stuff and his own stuff is GOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! His ballads are more the ones to look out for.

Michael Guang: Another guy who writes his own stuff, nice voice, nice songs, yeah <3 He's not really the wacko rap/rock kinda stuff.

Alan Ke: He's stuff is more, well, rockish kinda? rockish ballad? hahaha...iono, buh he writes his stuff and yeah. Ling (zero) is a MUST listen to!!!

Then there are others such as David Tao and proabably others i've missed xP

BANDS:

NQMM: a band of 3 guys and a girl (with an amazing voice) and this band was actually 'produced' by Jay Chou (buh in real life, they're all buddies) and their music is like Jay's, its QUALITY MUSIC, they write all their own stuff and well, talent is an understatement

FIR: Consists of 2 guys and 1 girl, reminds me abit of 8eight xD buh the genre of music is a bit different. This band has good music <333 They really experience with different kinds of stuff and they end up with really nice songs.

There's also MayDay buh i don't know about them that much, buh i heard that they have good msuic and are msuically talented.

Now...for the vocally talented (with nice songs/albums):

Jasmine (Fish) Leong: Her voice is great <3 its got like a nice...iono how to say it buh its nice <3 and really good composers like Jay, Lee Hom have written her great songs and she's really really worth listening to.

Elva Hsiao: I think she's the closest to Kelly Clarkson maybe? hahaha...her vocals are GREAT and her music is really worthwhile, i love her music a LOT.

Zhang Yi Lin: Yeah, although she debuted in korea, she's got a chinese album and yeah; she's a bit like...Kelly I guess, her vocals are powerful and her music is pretty good. <333

Leo Ku: He's canto, buh i think he's voice is REALLY REALLY soothing, its got such a nice smooth mellow tone to it <33 It really brings out emotions in his slower songs and yeah; he's a cutie xP

Joey Yung: Goooood voice. She's canto too.

Gigi Leung: She has good music, good voice, nice songs and she's beautiful and elegant <3 I think she sings in both canto and mando.

A Mei: OMG >< her voice is just....well...check it out for yourself. Its stunning. Her music is also great <33333

Angela Zhang: Her voice is very very unique, its soooooooooooo HIGH! buh in a nice way, her songs are all very very delicate, its not like...typical pop/ballad, its well, unique, she has other jumpy/happy/bubblegumpop songs too buh she executes them well.

There are proabably more like, Jolin Tsai (she's very popular buh i don't think its because of her voice, buh she does have some very nice songs), Stephanie (good vocals, good songs) and Landy Wen (she's got amazing vocals <3333).

BANDS:

SHE: Although they're considered an idol group, their base was singing and they really do have unique voices and they are my favourite girl band of all time, their voices harmonise beautifully and its not like...the typical girly singsong voice, they have a very nice harmony to their voices and artists such as Jay Chou and Tank have written them songs and they're music is well, undoubtly good. They've also started composing/writting/addinglyrics/producing their own songs.

Suju M: well, I just heard their new album and I AM IN LOVE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, just go listen and you'll love it too. their voices are <333333333333333 *___*


Then we get to idol artists who's music are well, not bad buh just...very typical buh you will find some that you like and are quite catchy.
