Has anyone heard of a singer/songwriter named Marie Digby? I just bought her new CD called Unfold because my friend who interns at UMGD suggested it and it is all I have been listening to. She is beautiful and her music is very down to earth and soulful. You should definitely check out her Youtube where you can watch and listen to the music she has up on there. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I watch her videos all the time on youtube!

I like the acoustic version of Unfold alot better though. Not so crazy about the other version I heard though.

But yea, she's very talented and reminds me of Mandy Moore. <3 her voice!

I think she sounds better live =] she is an awesome performer.. Spell is nothing but LOVE. I like her acoustic version of Fool, but the album version, not so much... I love Miss Invisible as well!... and her version of Britney Spears' Gimmer More is the bboooooooooomb!! hahaha

i first found out about her music through youtube.
i like the few songs that i have listened to so far.
right now, her cd is 7.99 on itunes, and i am really considering buying it.

I'm a fan of Marie Digby too! Her songs are really nice. My fave ones include: Better Off Alone, Spell, Traffic, Miss Invisible, Unfold and of course her very own rendition of Rihanna's Umbrella.. XD

^ I believe her new album will be release sometime in June.
I love her stuff, though I prefer her lives and acoustic versions on youtube than the ones on her albums.
Especially love her cover album (Second Home), her AKFG cover is so nice!

I think she's horribly overrated on youtube.
Her voice is pretty mediocre, her composing and piano skills aren't anything to go WOW about

It's sad I've discovered some super talented ppl that have like less than 20 k per vid of views, and they're amazing, while she gets around 500k to 2mil

is it cos she's kinda pretty?

Marie has this... certain sound to her voice that makes her sound beautiful when she sings. Yes, she sounds mediocre, but there's something in her voice that makes her... above that, imo. Anyway, I adore her :)

I didn't know that there was a thread on Marie Digby already.. wow.

Her new album came out last week! It's called Breathing Underwater. (:
I didn't know anything about her until I came across her on YouTube.

I think people are fans of her because she has a nice voice, can play the guitar and piano, and the fact that she is actually trying hard to make her own path to become a singer. (Unlike Rihanna, Britney Spears and those other big stars who had almost everything done for them, etc.) And Marie Digby was her own manager for a while too, trying to handle things by her self since she didn't have a manager to tell her what to do.

Anyway, I love her Miss Invisible, Feel, and her cover songs Gravity, Nada Sou Sou (I don't know the English title for this one..), and Cherry!

What would you do if I told you I liked you? Would you run away if I told you I love you?
