ok.. this is reallly weird..
whenever i try to use my firefox, it keeps saying that
'firefox is already running, but is not responding. to open a new window, you must first close the existing firefox process, or restart your system.'
what the heck does that mean?!
i'm stressing out sooo much bcause i did everything to try to let this work.
i uninstalled it, i use the task manager, i restarted my computer, i rebooted it..
what's going on?!!
it's weird using a internet explorer...
please help me T_T

Control alt delete
Open up task manager and end all of the Firefox.exe

Otherwise just restart the computer

you need to find a file called "parent.lock" in your Mozilla Firefox profile directory and delete it. Easiest way is to do a file search on your computer. You can get more information at http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefo...+not+responding

If you really did try all the suggestions in the link above and it still doesn't work then follow the instructions below to start completely fresh then.

Go do a search on your computer for your bookmarks.html file and copy it to your C:\ drive or some other folder for backup. It's located in your Mozilla Firefox profile folder.

For Vista your profile is located at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\
For XP your profile is located at C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\

Once you've backed up your bookmarks, uninstall Firefox and then delete the Firefox folder (for example C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox in XP) if it's still there after uninstallation. Then go to either C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\ ( for Vista) or C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\ (for XP) and delete the Mozilla folder. That should get rid of all your existing profiles.

Now go install Firefox again. Once it's installed, run it and see if Firefox can load now. If it does, click on Bookmarks > Organise Bookmarks. Then go to File > Import and import all your bookmarks back using the bookmarks.html file you had backed up earlier.

Something isn't right about your situation. The last fix should have solved the problem.

Are you using XP or Vista?
Did you get any other errors/messages when following the instructions (cannot delete certain files, cannot uninstall firefox etc etc)?
Are there more than one username on your computer?
Do you have administrator rights?
Can you run Firefox in SafeMode? (Start > Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Mozilla Firefox in Safe Mode)
What else do you notice or what other information can you tell us that'll be helpful?

Maybe you're trying to delete the profile from the wrong username? You can try Portable Firefox located at http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable and see if the error happens with that as well.

If portable works... then most likely your firefox install is corrupted so you should uninstall firefox and delete the install folder C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox then download and install firefox.

Hrm if you have... then you have to keep deleting before you reinstall then

Perhaps registry keys, the Mozilla folder in Application data... I think those are the only other two places stuff gets stored about firefox.
