Lol yeah I'm sure alot of dudes are also wondering this.
How do you go from 6pac to 8.
I've been doing alot of ab exercises, but the last two just won't show up from underneath the layer of fat =\
Anyone have any suggestions for workout methods etc?

Hey, you answered your own question.

It's because that "layer of fat" is there that they won't show. But you're actually really skinny already - doing cardio to get those last two to show might not work with the way your body is structured. I've personally never seen anyone as thin as you with a well defined 8 pack (they're rare enough as it is). So I'd work on packing on some muscle while keeping up with the cardio, ab work, and maintaining a healthy diet. Even if it doesn't work out, your 6 will look way better. Good luck!

Cardio of your choice.

Whether it be swimming, running, jump roping, etc.

Everyone has an 8 pack, it's just that a layer of fat is preventing it to be visible. In order to remove that layer of fat, it is advisable to do cardio exercises, while continuing with strength training and a healthy diet.

^ not really. You don't see anorexic models carrying 8 pacs.
Yes the fat covers it but the muscle also has to be prominent enough to see. Not everyone has the same bulging abdominal muscle when all the fat is gone.
Get a low body fat % and do exercises that targets the abs

Although it seems like getting an 8 pac is not as great as like...packing on more muscle on legs, arms, back, chest, etc...

Crunch a hella lot, make sure your body fat is >10% and get a healthy diet.

Well I have like 3 track&field meetings a week, would that be enough or do I need to do other stuff as well?

Here's a website I found by googling. You need some equipment for some of the exercises but hopefully it helps. smile.gif

What kind of ab workouts are you doing now? Just regular crunches? If that is the case, try making them harder, like adding legs weights and doing V sit ups. Also, try stability poses like the "Plank Position" both normal and side (those definitely work, I used to do them in physical therapy). Then maybe add in a bunch of oblique workouts if you haven't already? I don't know the names of any, but I can probably dig some of the good ones up if you're interested. Also, I can't really tell from the pictures, but I think you're upper abs are stronger than your lower abs, which is very common. Try leg ups, V sit ups, and reverse crunches.

Hope this helps!

They could exist, but those models must have done exercises that targets the abs...My point was a person is not going to have their abs be visible (the way we typically see in sections) just because they have ow body fat. Another example is victims of concentration camps who have been starved, or some people in developing countries
But I would like to be proven wrong if that's the case......

I use the 8minute abs vid.
So I basically do a very wide variety of different ab exercises.

^Crank up cardio a LOT and increase workload for your lower abs ie: leglifts, v sits, etc.
oh and on a side note, looks like your shoulders are lagging.

ohmy.gif you're in GRADE 9?! I've never seen a GRADE 9-ER as built as you. biggrin.gif
How many pounds do you weigh?
Anyways as people have said above, you should probably just do some cardio to lose all the fat...
I really hope that helps you. smile.gif

ahh from the first picture it seems as though you need to work out your lower abs...?
but then the scond one..i see abs there? @.@
LOL. but anyways more likely than not its your lower abs. try searching and looking for stuff on that [cardio=best way to do it]
but a thing we do for cheer [now dont be discouraged just cause cheerleaders are doing it >.>] is
1. lie on your back and then
2. tighten up and lock in all of your muscles in your body [arm, butt, thigh, calves, etc so you're like a board] with your legs[feet and toes pointed] on the ground together [hands should be flat on the side, or under your butt] and then
3. lift 3-6 inches off the ground. hold it there for as long as possible [try at least a min], and if you dont feel the burn then hold longer and go lower! :]
if that doesnt work. you could try the whole 'scissor' thing with the legs while on your back happy.gif. im not sure which part of your abs that works out though
but i hope that helped. unless you already do that then..well..wasted post xD
nice six pack by the way wink.gif
