^ I do not have unreasonably high expectations for these girls. In fact, I think it's unfair they're being put under harsher scrutiny than other groups that have debuted. I want them to be treated like the other groups that have come before them. Also, I hope these girls will be able to break away from the "Female Big Bang" blanket that has been thrown over them. I have never once thought of them as the "Female Big Bang" and I don't think I ever will. There are fans in this thread that agree with me I'm sure. I've read a quite a few posts that express my sentiments.

But, as a fan I do hope that these girls are successful and wish them all the luck they deserve. Isn't that the job of a fan? To provide continuous support no matter what?

That's probably true also, but I'm sure there's plenty of other people who aren't quite fans yet thinking that way too.

I want to rant a little:

So many people are having really high expectations for this group,
I'm beginning to feel bad for the girls because of this huge pressure.

Cuz I know there's a lot of people thinking "oh gosh they're getting a lot of fans already... blah blah... I have high expectations from them since they're so hyped up".
It's not the girls' fault that so many of us are excited for them, >.<
I didn't want people to be thinking "they better be extremely-perfect-awesome since they're getting a lot of attention" or "since they're female Big Bang, they better be just as good".

I worry that people are building their expectations too high for the girls, that they will end up being disappointed whether 21 actually started decently or not.
So many pessimistic people too, especially the ones I read at the Official YG thread. Gosh.

Even the most successful groups today (Big Bang, TVXQ, SJ, etc) didn't turn out an instant success, and they didn't start off as perfect performers with the perfect songs--- even when they also had years and years of training.
So I don't understand why some people might have unreasonable HIGH expectations from the girls.
Yes, we think they're talented, but I most certainly won't expect it to be perfect-perfect in the beginning... you know?

and that was after their first album
wg and snsd were both ignored in their debut single
however i believe that these girls are forced to work harder and come out with even better music to satisfy the fans and not to ruin the bigbang name
which instead prepares them to be a great group hopefully matching up to snsd and wg soon (not to compare...)
so i guess i just want to say...
it makes them a better group
and what fan would refuse that???
pluz these gurls have talent
and i dont say that easily
and talent never fails.....when all else does....so i have no worries
all we have to do is be loyal and love them no matter what others say or expect

May is supposedly the month they will debut. And I say supposedly because YG is a very very amusing man with dates.

Like some people have already stated--Never thought of them as "Female Big Bang" and I've hated the "Female Big Bang" lable. Not because its unfair to the girls (which it is) but I think its even more unfair to Big Bang who've worked really hard to cultivate that kind of reputation for themselves and to have it used as a marketing ploy makes me

Sure it did give the girls some publicity but I think they would have done fine on their own with Bom having been featured in Anystar, Forever With You and We Belong together, along with Sandara's fame in the Phillipines and her came in the "I'm Sorry MV" and CL's appearence in 2007 and DJ.

That being said, I know these girls have talent I just hope that they will be given songs that showcase those talents to their greatest extent. (Please lay off the digitalizer YG. Please) I think the first few months and even year might be a little rocky first the problems with the name and now they have to shrug off this suffocating Female Big Bang lable. I believe that they're tough enough to do it... I mean Bom didn't audition for three times--got denied solo debut--rest of the girls trained and got their debut delayed for 4 years without growing a strong back.

Eagerly anticipating their OWN debut by themselves.

go look at how many fans they had in that concert hall BEFORE LIES.
of course they were popular. watch their documentary, they had fans sending them presents before they debuted.

A YG Entertainment agent said, "'Lollipop' has drawn attention not only because of Big Bang, but because of the interest in the 2NE1 group members, so therefore 'Lollipop' has become even more popular."

2NE1's music producer is the trend leader of the music industry and originally from 1TYM, Teddy, and also Big Bang's leader and producer G-Dragon. 2NE1 will officially debut in May.
