2NE1 Ranks #1 on Naver Search
April 10, 2009

New female 4-member group 2NE1 has explosively attracted netizens.

According to Naver search engine for singers (chart pictured above), from April 3-9, with the exception of one day, 2NE1 has ranked #1 for the week.

Next month, this "Female Big Bang" is set to debut. Their song with Big Bang called "Lollipop" has been sweeping music charts, and also increasing interest in its individual members (as you can see, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Kong Min Ji are also within the Top 10 - no CL, though D: ).

This week, Sandara Park's provocative magazine pictorial from the Philippines was revealed online as well. She was shown in a black corset and bikini swimsuit, which was a surprise to netizens.

I'm so happy for the girls to be able to be on top without debut, rofl!
Of course the song is awesome because it's both Big Bang & 2NE1. ^^

I thought it was "2ne1 -- To anyone" ... not 21 =/
"To anyone" would've been a nice band name since it could be interpreted that their music can be accepted by everyone, regardless in their taste in music.

The lollipop thing was pretty... funky and bright.

It was originally "21 - To Anyone", but because there is already another artist with the same exact stage name - YG had to changed it to "21 - 2NE1". In a way, the "NE" part can also be interpreted as a "New Evolution".

Their popularity is really scary, in a good way. I mean, this is pre-debut too. They are currently #1 on many online music chart/search servers. They have been featured on Perez Hilton. And now they are considered a competition for an award - with zero promotion. I am so nervous for them when it comes time to debut. It'll be explosive.

2nd place in MuBank K-Chart is AWESOME!!!!!!!!
They really rocks the music chart..... I hope things will be bigger when they debut...XD

I'm a big fan of the three contender of MuBank last night.....but I'm hoping Lollipop could win.
But being in the second place, beating SJ, is already a big achievement... 2NE1 JJANG!!!

Soon? Gaaahh....I hope an official date will be release soon.....

Yeah lollipop is no 2 on MuBank!!
I was just too surprised to saw it at first!!
But no doubt, the song is hyper energetic!! I almost memorized the dance steps from the mv when I saw Wawa dancer dance into the song!~
I just want to know Minji position in the group would be what?
CL is rapper,leader,
Bommie is the lead vocal
Sandy maybe back-up vocal
Minji can be back-up vocal or 2nd rapper??

Wow,am so happy for them getting #2 on music bank.
I have never in my one year of kpop interest
seen a group(or any artists) taking over music charts with
a cf song,being #1 searched on search engines,and being
this popular before debut.It's just amazing,lol.
