I posted this already somewhere, but I don't think it was the right place. I need help though.
I have to propose a very creative idea and come up with a clear and concise first step in carrying out that idea. It can't be too hard because I actually have to try and do this. Here are two example given by my professor:
Example #1:
My idea is a motorized spaghetti fork. My first step will be to build a prototype.
Example #2:
My idea is a bike alarm that makes a loud noise when ridden by a thief. My first step will be to search patent literature to see what types of vehicle alarms exist.
Example #3:
My idea is to reduce traffic in Seattle by having the buildings open 10 minutes apart. My first step is contacting the governor.
I need your help please.

example 2:
Well, imagine the newer car models, which have alarms. They are set up/set down by a remote control.
Anyways it's hard for a bicycle to recognize the owner/the thief without a remote control/fingerprint whatever
example 3:
I don't get this one
edit:
Make a motorized chopstick for westerners or sth like that. I googled that and can't find anything. If it's going to be a success, I want at least 50%

Invent me a solar powered air conditioner. Must cost less than $500.
As far as I know, there is one concept that I don't think ever came out. Biggest challenge is power and price for solar panels. A car AC unit pulls around 90 watts of power so I think its theoretically impossible. http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/gadgets/solar+p...outs-245849.php or http://www.treehugger.com/files/2008/01/smallscale_sola.php
