I thought about getting the P310 when I was laptop searching, but decided to get the P300 instead. The latter has great performance reviews and it was about $800 cheaper where I was shopping. Anyway, when you get it, tell us how it is! I *love* the P300. My only gripe is I wish I'd asked the computer people to put on Windows XP instead of Vista.

i got mine around a week ago and its awesome. not gonna talk about the performance, the specs speak for themselves
only negative point is the display. the contrast isnt really good, but its really bright, so i can use it outside without any problems.
battery is ok, around 3,5-4h hours office use.

didnt u get a windows xp cd? i got both, win xp and vista .)

You mentioned about the screen brightness & poor contrast. I've seen the Samsung X series & they have extremely bright screens (300 nits) but the viewing angles were quite poor. How does the LG do in that department?

Also does it run very hot?

I really like the sound, because of the harman/kardon speakers. It is really good.
And the looks are all there =P But only thing that little bothers me is the ventilator(?) sometimes it is a bit loud
But I love my toshiba

the viewing angles? ... its bad compared to ibm or sony laptops. but it doesnt really bug me. the poor contrast is worse. maybe i ll get a non-glare display. dunno if it ll work though
apart from that its awesome

and no, it doesnt get really hot. i usually use it on my lap when surfing the internet or watchin movies. but i wouldnt recommend doin that while playin games
